so when i was in elementary school me and my friends all had Ds's and i had this chinese friend and she was like you gotta buy this card its called a r4 you get 100s of games on it for free, my brain couldnt comprehend that at the time lol then she showed me hers i was like WOAH.... and now 18 years later i finally bought one! thanks Rachel! these things are nuts!!!

Not sure why as there's nothing special about the DS Lite other than the different screen I think it's crazy how many ask or say it's not working in their DS Lite when it's usually user error.

Probably the reason many people believe several R4s didn't work for the DS is because many videos go trough the story and shenanigans of the R4, but more importantly, they share one thought in common: *The revolution and the Gold cards are trustworthy.* So my guess is that people are just gonna skip to the revolution and gold timeskips, but I might be wrong though.

Yeah I'm not really sure why they always ask if it works in the DS Lite because the R4 cards were originally designed for the DS and then a new version for DS Lite. Ever since then every clone card worked for the DS Lite or variants of revolution cards. So when others say "does it work in the DS Lite?" I got confused why literally hundreds asked this lol. So I did this compilation 😄 which proves all of these do work in the DS Lite perfectly fine.

Get a Smart Update R4, the RTS function isn't any good anyways always causes data corruption.

The R4 doesn't require anything to any consoles nor does it brick any consoles when using it.

You would need a different kernel for that card which I have not shared anything about yet. If you jump over to Discord however I have shared how to get it there as others have stated they too have this card and it worked perfectly for them.

Just buy the Deep Labrynth Smart Update cards, you'll load TWilight Menu on it anyways most likely or YSMENU up to you and you'll be good to go.

For some reason the R4SDHC Dual Core(the bomb thing icon on the homescreen) dont work in my Dsi,its a japanese dsi but idk if that has something to do

The dual core aspect doesn't matter the type of card is what matters as you must have a www.r4isdhc.com card most likely the time bomb doesn't exist anymore with the latest kernel. Check my playlist for details as your R4 card could be revived.

TWilight Menu is most likely your issue on the DSi then because it says when you hack the DSi some R4 cards don't work after

Nothing about the R4 card will brick any devices, however why not just hack your 3DS and unlock the full potential of your 3DS by using better emulators and heck play even DS games using TWiligut Menu or natively.

Dual Core, Lite, Gold mean absolutely nothing for these cards. However back in the day I'm pretty sure it was a gimmick scheme because the original R4 site that I can access still has the same kernel files for all 3 of those cards. Now SOME companies like to confuse people, there's FAKE Real Time Save R4 cards out there that have these different stickers. Each one requires different files and the sad thing is the Gold one is absolute trash I own and did a lost of testing with it.

Do any other games work? My DS Lite sometimes doesn't read my R4 either same with my DS and it's because they're so old even cleaning doesn't always help.

Hey man i have a r4 dual core with NEW on it. I followed a tutorial to get some new games since i hadnt touchd it in 8 years but every deleted itself. I alse have the revolutions card. What software do i need

Not sure, perhaps determine what your R4 card loads game wise. If you put an SD card in it and put it in your DS for example, a game will appear. Could be SpongeBob, Deep Labrynth, etc. Once you've determined this you'll be able to find the original files.

Yes you can you can even trade R4 to R4 R4 to original and you can play Download Play supported games. I covered this in the past on the channel too.

@@DNAMobileGaming try it on a ds lite , load up a game and put it into sleep mode by closing the DS . the screens flicker. I looked it up on google and apparently the ez flash people stopped working on it and it's just a bad flash card with lots of issues.

im so smart... clearly i thought it was okay to buy any r4 luckly i bought the 2024 SDHC the one in the top left. all i read on amazon was works on dsi 3ds ds lite 2ds etc but only for 2ds n ds games so i was like perfect ( i lucked out i guess cause it works)
