This actually says a lot about his character. He put his real life-savings into his Store. He regrets it everyday so he has a very cynical view on the world as a result. His life is compressed into a management position at his shitty Store. As a result of this, he developed a sarcastic and asshole’ish outlook at life. Even when he was facing down his demise, he was still cracking jokes like, “Take my Life savings”, before ultimately realizing that his less than ideal life is over. I think he’s a good guy altogether who has obviously DEFINITELY been taught that particular style of ending a potential “kill la kill” fighting technique that he has because he was a CIA opps agent and probably was in situations where a life and death situation called for stopping a fight cold On the other hand, From what I know about Van Damm is that he took another actors eye out when making “Cyborg”. It was testified in civil court that not only is he over zealous doing fight scenes. But the choreographers started that he was basically stubborn and refused to listen to any of their instructions. If this is actually true...the worst part of what happened way back when this occurred, he has been paying his defense attorney more money to stonewall the case in court than just paying the the poor guy what he damn well owned his to begin with!! Everyone loves to criticize Seagal but the fact is that in the early 90s his action movies were awesome. They were on par with Chuck Norris and Clint Eastwood. No one can ever take that away from him.
@JOHNizSiK Жыл бұрын
Thing is no one tries to take anything away from him. He willingly stomps all over his legacy himself. I like Segal the actor. His hits and takedowns look painful and he does a great job. But he is very abrasive in reality and no one seems to care for him.
@thinkforyourself2109 Жыл бұрын
@@JOHNizSiK I agree. He is egotism is the problem. It's borne of insecurity. He would have done well to make no public pronouncements, stay in shape, and stick to making movies. When actors speak their minds, it often tends to go wrong. It used to be an ethic among them to keep their opinions to themselves. Not anymore.
