I agree with most things you said, apart from the “But he’s a teenager”. So is she, it takes two to tango and he has just as much responsibility as she does, teen dads who aren’t involved get away with so much as people make excuses for them like that, and then if they stay they’re praised for not leaving, even though that’s what any parent should do and they should be treated the same way the mum should. It really annoys me that people are okay with dads just leaving because “they’re a teenager”, she’s a teenager and took on the challenge, just like he should have.

If you're 18+ you're an adult, do you but if ur below that i would encourage them to see what they wanna do in life and if they have a love one, get to know each other better and see where each person wants to do after highschool. Not everyone is gonna stay home for work or school. Some people travel to different places. If the relationship strong then it wouldn't be a problem. Enjoy being a kid while it lasts. I don't have a kid so i don't know personally of the struggles and the amazing outcomes when having a child. Some of my friends and classmates had kids but after high school tho. I'm 48. My son is turning 31 on January 22nd. He and I are very close. To be honest, having my son actually SAVED my life. I've been suicidal off and on. When he was a baby i tried to kill myself. I did think about him but at the time i felt like he'd be better off without me. But he wouldn't have been. And I absolutely ADORE my son. We're more like best friends to be honest. I also have 2 daughters, 28 and 19. I dont regret any of my kids but I WILL say that being a teen mom was hard, even though for awhile I had my mom. She died while I was pregnant with my oldest. None of us is ever TRULY ready to be a parent. Even the most prepared parent isnt prepared. You could have a perfectly healthy child and the next thing you know, you're child can become ill. Or have a mental illness or other disability. You can't prepare for those things, even WITH money. I think alot of mothers do feel guilty for feeling like they had kids too soon. I can honestly say that even though NONE of my kids were planned, I DON'T regret having them. I love all of my kids. But people dont understand that parenting doesnt end at 18. You're a parent for LIFE.

I live in the US and in Oregon and in my elementary school at the end of 5th grade they seperated the boys and girls and we had a little health session. I was with the group of girls and they just talked to us about periods and pads/tampons and some more stuff. Then starting from 6th grade in health class when we had the sex unit we learned about what sex is, sperm and eggs, blah blah blah blah. Then in the next grade you learn more/go more in depth during the sex unit. First time I heard about abstinence was in 7th grade and my teacher told us what it meant and that it was the only way you had no chance of being pregant. But they also talked to us about birth control pills, condoms, and morning pills, getting your tubes tied, etc etc and the chances of a woman getting pregnant when using one of those methods to prevent pregnancy

@@mey.3574 It was kinda the same for me. In 5th grade, us girls were given a talk about changes in the body, periods, and how to apply pads. In 6th grade, it was somewhat the same thing, but with a video this time. In 7th grade, we didn't even get proper sex ed education, it was mostly a talk about healthy relationships vs toxic relationships (which is also important) and in 8th grade is when they finally explained how sex is done and the types of birth control contraptions, how to apply a condom, etc (obviously, we all knew what sex was way before then due to the internet)... In 9th grade, is when they actually went in depth about the names of the reproductive system in both men and women. Personally, the way sex education was executed in elementary through my first year in highschool was disarray. 5th grade was alright, but I don't understand why they went through the same material in grade 6, majority of the girls were already menstruating, some boys voices were breaking. At that age, we should have been taught the names of the reproductive parts and how sex is performed. (not like we didn't know, but sometimes kids can be misguided by the internet and peers)

I use to work 70 hours a week getting pregnant alone changed that, my pregnancy wasn’t great I had no glow I was always ALWAYS sick or not feeling good or in pain I didn’t really have good days or anything and having mental issues nights were bad , I cried a lot and I was always so moody so mad , I hated myself but when she came (via csection ) everything changed .. I was never prepared to how Ied feel having her but I loved her and I did want a kid I always wanted a kid I just didn’t want to go through birth but I ended up having a emergency c section anyways , she does change everything it’s stressful just because I am broke I use to have good money but now I can’t work really and my boyfriend works min wage so that’s the only thing is making ends meet we can’t even get our own place but besides the struggles and stress she does make things better I love her, she’s adorable and she makes everyday livable , not many people and than again maybe many do but when you have thoughts of suicide and than look at your baby. It’s a majestic feeling that this tiny being can erase so much negativity. I got pregnant at the wrong time in life but I rather have her now than never. And I am looking forward to the struggle and learning to save and do so much more and even if it takes a long time the milestones of having our own place and moving forward success and so much more ‘ I’ll be happy to tell her exactly this , •we struggled and it was hard but we did it and we did it for us and most importantly you so whenever we can’t do something just remember how hard we’re working to give you everything we can. • babies aren’t no joke, but they’re worth it. No regrets here,

See at first I wanted to be a teen dad because I didn't want to be an old parent because I wanted to be around to see them grow up and their children and because my parents were in their late 30s and mid 40s when I was born and in 2016 my dad passed away at 57 when I was 12 my mom is 55 now and I'm 16 but last summer I had to babysit my niece from Monday to Friday sometime Saturday (depending on if my sister had to work or not) from 6am to 4 or 5pm and it was the most stressful situation in my LIFE because my mom would constantly ask me to watch her because my brothers never wanted to and I would. I had to make bottles, rock her to sleep, change her, walk in place or in a circle to get her to stop crying, attend to every cry, and most times couldn't sleep because when she was 1 and 2 months old she would wake up to every loud sound and it was more annoying when I would get her to sleep and my brothers, mom, or grandma would start making loud noises like they didn't see the struggle I had to go through to get her to sleep. When she was 2 months i accidently dropped her because my brother put her and her car seat on my bed (we have a bunk bed and I sleep on the top bunk) so I tried to ask him can he get her off my bed so I can take her in the living room (because it was around the time her mom comes to pick her up) but he didn't hear me so I tried to do it myself (I had a feeling that I might drop her but didn't listen to that gut feeling) well, i grabbed her car seat pulled it to the edge of the bed and picked it up and as I was getting to the last step I missed it and ended up losing my balance, falling, and dropping her face first. Her car seat fell on top of her but she wasn't hit in the head or anything by it, so once I realized I dropped her I quickly got up, threw her car seat to the side, turned her over, and picked her up THANK GOD SHE WAS FINE WITH NO INJURIES OR NOTHING luckily we have carpet in our room, she was crying though but quickly went back to being her happy, hungry, and smiley self but me I felt like shit because I vowed to never drop her or my own children for as long as i lived and ended up failing her so I felt very emotional everytime i saw her I would go to the bathroom and cry, everytime she would make a sound I would go to the bathroom and cry, after awhile my mom realized something was wrong with me and I ended up crying uncontrollably like I couldn't stop I was crying like a baby but It was because i felt so bad about dropping her and my brothers kept shaming me about it making me feel worse. Well now she's one years, two months, and 22 days old and that experience made me grow to love her even more than I did before now she's in daycare so I barely get to see her as much 😢😭😭 so when I do I cherish those moments.

I dont think that hes "maturing" way slower, so she had to mature fast but we need to go easy on him bc he's a boy and they mature slower.. it's all State of mind
@imaniluvsu14 жыл бұрын
Boys do mature slower than girls. That's been scientifically proven. But it doesnt matter because they're both very immature. Unfortunately she's the one who has to deal with the outcome. This is when they're parents should be getting together and making sure BOTH kids are involved unless the girl decides to put her child up for adoption.

How do u support a kid as a teen is my only question lol. I would be up shit creak with a baby and relying heavily on family members, let alone wouldn't even have my own place. Unless u got a man (likely older) making decent money u will be leeching off folks for a good while and that isnt cute lol. I didnt start making money past 30k+ yearly until I was closer to my mid 20s. Early 20s and teens money from my pockets were tight, cant imagine raising a baby off that income

Y'all are selfish! What gives you a right to play God? You don't get to decide to take a life these offspring growing inside get a chance at life if you don't want the baby then put them up for adoption atleast there's a chance for them to get a family who will love them and raise them as their own

Abortion is wrong, and I’m not even Christian. It’s just common sense

I mean if the person isnt in the position mentally or financially to have a child then it's better to have an abortion than put the baby in an unstable home.
