I somewhat agree. But sometimes restaurants salads have no vegan dressing so you’re really just eating a pile of leaves. A good compromise would be to go to a restaurant where there’s meat but also a good vegan option like a beyond burger or something.

I'm trying to go vegetarian (I haven't been eating meat but I eat beef once in a blue moon) because I know about the meat industry and the animal cruelty, but I would NEVER think of you any less for eating meat because in the end we are all animals and animals eat other animals. I do believe it would benefit our world as whole to stop eating so much meat but in the end there are bigger issues in the world then the meat industry. If you are a meat-eater who is doing great things with the world like going plastic free, limiting your gas use, volunteer work or saving lives of dozens as a doctor then you are a good person and doing good as most people in my book.

I personally went vegan overnight and never went back. But I understand many people need to take small steps to get into veganism and it’s really hard for them. Went you go shopping just make some conscious choices to incorporate vegan products into your diet. Buy oat or soy milk instead of cow, try a vegan burger instead of the meat one. I personally think that most people being 80% vegan is better than a few people being 100% vegan. Like my aunt is vegetarian, but she refrains from any animal product except cheese (because let’s be honest, vegan cheese is the one thing we are no where near mastering).

As a vegan for 6 years that guy was acting so irrational. Yes I agree all animals are equals. For example in my culture the llama is sacred it's an animal if killed you must use all the body parts, In India cattle is sacred but in the U.S I noticed people here eat for greed , its easy to say "yeah but they have to have one vegetable or bean" but sadly that is not the case. Well in society animals have been taken advantage of by humans. Gigantic slaughter houses have animals born and slaughtered just to be food for humans. If you see the conditions and abuse of the animals I doubt you wouldn’t care. Animals also don’t have the capacity to choose meat or plants (one or the other) while humans do and can increase the conditions and decrease the slaughter rate of animals.

The core of most vegan meals is different types of starches, like rice, beans, corn, wheat, there's hundreds of base foods and thousands of recipes. It can be really cheap. Good video, thanks. I went whole food-plant based for health but I embrace the ethical side now since it's good and I don't have to change much to do it. I have to eventually replace leather products like a belt and shoes. I went whole food-plant based to lower my LDL bad cholesterol and it went from 120 mg/dl, elevated risk of heart attack, to 65, which is very low risk, in just weeks. Came off blood pressure / heart rate medication with doctor supervision, and lost 55 lb, still down about 50 now after three years. bp is 120/80 and hr is 71. I need to exercise to get it lower. Also quit caffeine altogether. Starch Solution by Dr. Mcdougall is what I used. Google "Mcdougall color picture book" and a free PDF is shown that explains it real simply. You too can lose 55+ lb and keep it off. It's hard at first but gets much easier imho. The lady who said vegan can be done without care for animal welfare and initially I disagreed but there is a wider view by some people about the meaning. I accept it.

My friends mom is vegan and she knows I'm not and she still buys Pepperoni pizza for me and she's not bothered with me eating it near her. I think that"s just being selfish. Well I believe that you shouldn’t buy or endorse eating meat if you’re vegan. You shouldn’t make other people change their meals just because you are uncomfortable but you also shouldn’t contribute to buying something you’re against buying.

Wasn't there a Food Pyramid that they used to show kids in school and meat was part of a daily diet? If you don't eat meat than fine... But I still dont see the hype. I was a vegetarian twice back in high school 1st time was weight I stop after gaining 10 LBS(I didn't know the whole starch thing back then and i luv me some potatoes. 2nd time I feel bad eating animals than I started watching animal planet and see animal eating animals all day sooo.....
