Do back pain, headache & nausea with missed periods point toward pregnancy? - Dr. Teena S Thomas

Back pain, nausea, missed period, all this may be a part of pregnancy if you are anticipating a pregnancy there. For that we have to confirm with a pregnancy test. But if there is no pregnancy, all these symptoms of Back pain, nausea, white discharge, missed period can be a part of premenstrual syndrome. So it can be a part of premenstrual syndrome, or a physiological change or a part of premenstrual syndrome where these things can be seen. Just because symptoms are seen, we cannot say it is a pregnancy unless we have proved the pregnancy by a urine pregnancy test or blood tests. So once that is positive, we can attribute it to a part of pregnancy because of the increasing level of beta HCG hormone or otherwise a part of premenstrual syndrome and we can expect period at any point of time.
