On Tuesday 12 September 2023 , Professor Timothy Davis of the University of Western Australia presented the MRC Epidemiology Unit seminar:
Do boutique cohort studies have a role in diabetes epidemiology?
About this talk
In the age of big administrative datasets, including those from intervention trials, there is still an argument for more detailed patient-level data from community-based cohorts. One such cohort is that from the Fremantle Diabetes Study which was started 30 years ago and which has generated a wealth of data relating to diabetes management, complications and cost in a representative urban Australian setting.
