Magnaflow is the way to go. I’ve had them before and currently have them on my GT now. Clean deep sound and a touch louder than stock but no where near obnoxious.

i have been through this before. I changed the BOV, changed the spring in the BOV, smoke check, etc. I finally called griptec and got a more aggressive griptec pulley. I got a smaller Gates RPM belt and did the Shrader bolt mod so I can change belts on the side of the road. The belt has lasted a LONG time w/ the aggressive pulley because it slips less.

It drove me crazy, I cut the over travel stop off a BOSS tensioner so I could get more travel out of it. I also adjusted the water pump pulley size to get belt tension perfect. If you have a 100 and a 100.5 inch belt you can fit almost any pulley but I wanted to use the Gates RPM belt because it has less stretch.

Stock exhaust has chambered mufflers compared to magnaflow are straight through, like you said the diameter and the design of the x pipe made a nice difference specially boosted

IMO, most of the gain is in getting rid of those stock, non active exhaust mufflers ( heavy as well ). X pipe is always a little helpful above 5k rpm as well.

Alex, check the intake piping for leaks at the gear clamps if any, I found a caved in pipe on mine at the clamps from heat and suction and probably wrenched on clamps too much.

I have that same Cat back. I put an H pipe on it. It sounds way better and no rasp on my 2015 Roush RS3. The cat back part of mine is AWE track edition and the axle back Is Magnaflow. Sounds great.

My 14GT500 went from 800whp to about 820whp(3.2kb, FFE) when moving from borla touring(most restrictive) to borla S-type(less restrictive mufflers) no tune change. Backpressure is real.

I ran a green belt and a grip tec 3.20 pulley and never had an issue with belt slip also one of the charge pipes after the intercooler has a honey comb insert, I would check there I’ve seen them come off and get lodged in the pipe.

To be honest alex, this proves how good the stock catback is lol. I was at a dyno where they tested a stock longblock 5.3 Silverado with a CAI and LTs. They gained just as much power going from a blowmaster 40 muffler to a magnaflow magnapack lol

I think there is a possible crack in the intercooler or piping to cause a boost leak. Or possibly the intercooler might be inefficient. But there are affordable smoke checkers for boost leak check out there. Hope you figure out the issue. I forgot one thing, take the front bumper off the have a friend help you dyno the car while your checking Temps coming in the Intercooler and temp coming out of the intercooler. Good luck sir.

That's an older model Magnaflow competition catback. If you want to quiet it down some, I'd just have a Magnaflow X muffler welded in place of the current X pipe instead of buying the front section of the Street series. Part number is 12469.

Mine got really, really loud with an xpipe. I changed to a magnaflow tru- X pipe and I feel that I have the best of both worlds. Loud-ish on WOT but nice and adult when driving around. I have 3 videos showing the some sound clips. How that helps. I also cut about 1/2inch from each mid pipe to bring in the tips more to stock look, can't cut too much because then you run into clearance issues from the hangers .I did that after the videos.

For what’s it’s worth if you haven’t found out why your trims are pegged on that one bank. I had a guy with a similar situation on his 2018. He installed headers, plugged everything in(so we thought) but was pegging on one side. Turns out one of the wide bands was slightly disconnected, kind of like needed a little extra force to get that snap. It seemed connected but wasn’t all the way connected. Worth a look.

There's probably another 5 to 10 wheel on the table if you can get rid of that bottleneck section at the front of the x-pipe, and have a shop put a 3-inch section from the cat to the x-pipe.

Only thing I don’t like about the Magnaflow catback is the X pipe. Never cared for the raspy X pipe sound on Coyotes. If Magnaflow used an H pipe like the MBRP street catback, it would be perfect. Nice and tame.

I used the resonated xpipe from magnaflow with muffler delete pipes. To me it’s perfect. No rasp and deep and clean sound at WOT. As far as power gains the Butt dyno says more power but as far as future exhaust mods I may need to change some things up. Since I’m a peasant I have to be a Jew and try and save money but not ghetto rig my shit at the same time.

Are you logging the boost pressure PID? Can you do a more in depth video on why maf lb/min doesn't really matter? I have noticed my maf lb/min data is not consistent with what power the car is actually making and I was just wondering why that would be the case. You can calculate maf by using air load and displacement and rpm tho.

There is gains to be had when na imo. The diameter is small around the muffler and couple other places I believe. You will also lose significant weight going with an aftermarket catback.

That is what they're designed to do lol. You can see what is filming from inside the car so if it was to fall off by some chance you'd see it and could turn around and get it assuming it didn't get ran over lol. I doubt there would be an issue if mounted correctly.
