this is huge. when I got clear about exactly the type of person I wanted to work with and made myself unavailable to negotiate my ideal client checklist, immediately those people started showing up. sure I still got people who didn't meet that criteria but they fell away naturally without having to turn them down or waste my energy filtering them out. its like the energy tried to enter but the dissonance made them turn around and just leave. clarity of purpose and conviction in one's self is powerful energy! xx

I found this to be true also. When you are clear about what you want, you attract what you want more strongly and the people who are not a fit bounce off because they are not a match for the energy you are giving out.

I am not Marie, but this caught my eye. Darling, YOU need to value yourself for more things than just sales! Get this: other people might be or might NOT be valuing you based on your sales, but it does not matter because the most important thing is how YOU feel about yourself. I promise you that if you can feel better about yourself generally, your sales will improve too to match this.

This was so helpful since this is something I have had trouble with. I made a list and actually borrowed some of yours because I found that they were right on for me as well. Now i wonder what the next step is in terms of finding these clients. Any more tips on that would be much appreciated! Cheers!

Great advice, it is positive and it makes sense. One question: How do you let go of clients who do not meet these requirements, but want to continue working with you. It is hard to imagine saying : " I'm sorry, I can't work with you anymore because you are not self-motivated enough and are not very funny." These are not legitimate reasons to end a business relationship, but if you have space for a limited number of clients, how do you only pick the best and create room for other great clients?

o.m.g. this is such a biggie for me! I have clients ALL THE FRIGGIN TIME and one in particular that when she sends me a message to tell me she needs a custom garment - litterally groan outloud and Im in pergatory until i get her item finished and shipped - I would LOVE for her to leave me alone but she has been a loyal customer for the last 3 years - how would I even tell her that I can't do business with her any longer? or should I just let it ride - ugh!

Hey, I match your "ideal client", but I am a dude, and I live on another continent. In any case I really like your videos, they are helping me to explain ideas to my female clients in a way that both works and does not offend (sometimes being no BS offends people if I am not REALLY careful). In some cases I just send them over to one of your videos.

I Marie love your tips and it help me somehow understand some of the issues I have. One of the issues I have is that where I work I have to compete with 4 more people to get a sale and when I do I find it hard to achieve it due to my core values. Although I'm very good on one to one where I work it's all about sale, sale, sale and they value us through the amount of sales we do weekly. Right now mine are not good right now. What would you advise me to improve? Regards M

Hmmmm? I agree with all Marie says BUT it sounds to me like there might be an additional physical element. In fact it sounds like the Questioner gets energy from working with her clients. "I can pull out all the stops when I'm one on one." Maybe she should invest in seeing a good cause-centered health professional (A naturepathic doctor or similar). That said, vitamin B3 (Niacinimde has given me a huge energy boost.) Good luck to "Jenny"

This video seems kind of "pie in the sky". If most people were to list such non-negotiable, ideal, idealistic attributes for their clients, they would probably be left with no clients at all.
@SuzannaKiraly8 жыл бұрын
+ananse77 Lol, I think some of the attributes are not necessary, like the sense of humor. Just because someone doesn't have a great sense of humor doesn't mean they can't be great to work with.
