Hello friends. I have gotten lots of comments about my face- I just want to be clear here: I haven’t had any plastic surgery (I had a facelift and bleph a couple years ago and did a video on it….its still on the channel if you’re curious) I didn’t get a nose job, an upper lip lift (but dang that is on my wish list!!), no cheek implants….nada!! Last summer I did a series of morpheus8, last October I did my first Agnes RF, January I did my second Agnes RF. I did an Ultraclear 3D miracle a few months ago. I have lost weight and also, probably biggest, I quit drinking alcohol and stopped eating sugar. WHEN I decide to do my lip lift or a nose job (not currently on my list lol) I will FILM the process and share here! I have zero shame around procedures, plastic surgery, injectables (shoot, I’m even overdue for my Botox!!) so I’ll share if I do something new. I think I’ll stop answering questions about my appearance though….i know most of you are being kind but it’s a little over the top the “you’ve had plastic surgery” comments. Mostly because *if I did I’d share!* Lots of love to you all ❤️ Penn

I microneedle monthly and do my own glycolic peels (50%). Most people think I’m around 48. In my mind I think I am too🤣 All that you teach works Penny! I am living proof! Keep up the good work. Skinlyte has a soap that is loaded not only with collagen but also keratin peptides. It is called Hair & Whole Body Bar. It is fast absorbed because it has an enhanced binding enhancement technology which produces a water molecule that hydrates skin and hair. It repairs, rebuilds and strengthens hair and skin. I got it at Amazon and I am impressed with new benefits I discover every time I use it. I noticed many improvements in my hair, skin and nails. What I like best about it is that it's all natural and without harmful chemicals such as synthetic dyes, fragrance, SLS or preservatives.
@LPD15ponce6 ай бұрын
My understanding is that Type I collagen is predominant in the human body, and in the extracellular matrix that gives structure to the surrounding cells. As with whey protein, you should opt for a "hydrolyzed" brand. Hydrolyzed equals smaller molecule; smaller molecule equals superior absorption. Enjoy your day!

I remember when it only cost 8-11 dollars for a can of collagen! lol. I prefer unflavored powder for my decaf but the Sparkle Açaí Lemonade isn’t bad either. It’s definitely helped. I am almost 80 and have no wrinkles on my face and very few under my eyes. I also use the collagen capsules with Droplette. My skin is very smooth. I found TruNature at Costco had the recommended dose of 2500 mg. of Verisol. Their price is the cheapest I have found but needs to be ordered online. Recently, I have recently found a liquid product in Costco which has the same dosage. I need to research Fortibone which is in Dr Haver’s liquid collagen as well as Verisol. Now, I need something (a supplement) to help me with hair fall and breakage. Any articles or suggestions? I know I will have many more questions in regard to Estrogen replacement. When I had the prior surgery, so about 20-some years ago, NO ONE wanted to help with Estrogen and the losses my body and moods/ mind experienced. So disappointing. From grass fed/pastured sources, contains: bovine, fish, chicken, eggshell membrane, silicon from bamboo leaf. It is a reputable brand and this blends beautifully in my frothed unsweetened soy milk for cappuccino in the morning ❤ While I am 90% WFPB, from the studies I’ve read plant based collagen is not adequately absorbed for skin, bone, joint and intestinal health (maybe just needs more research, so I’m watching for that) so this is put into my 10% non-plant based. We all just have to find our groove, don’t we Xxx

Great video and tons of good information, thank you so much Penny! I take the Ancient Nutrition Multi-Collagen peptides, it’s Dr. Axe’s formulation. It’s a mix of 5 different types of collagen from eggshell membrane, fish, bone broth, etc. I really like it because most collagens I’ve tried have a beefy or fishy aftertaste that I can’t stand, and I end up not using it. Ancient Nutrition just tastes like Vanilla and I mix it up in a protein shake for a double whammy. I don’t eat a lot, so this is how I help fulfill my protein macros. I’m 53 and personally I think I have great skin for my age but I’ve been using copper peptides and AHAs for nearly 20 years, and i think that contributed. the only thing i get is a little botox 😅 twice a year.

I use CodeAge multicollagen and I do the same as you in terms of doubling up when I do microneedling etc. Totally love collagen.

Hi, Penny! First, you are just beautiful; hair, skin...all the things! So appreciate your deep-dives on everything. I love 🐇 rabbit holes! I can research for hours. I take Orgain with Probiotics, on sale from Costco. I've been slacking a bit, but immediately took it while watching the rest of your vid! 😅. I am 80, and have osteoporosis and a hip replacement. I wonder if anything i do, at my age, including many $$$$ spent on skincare? Stay beautiful, my friend! ❤❤❤❤❤❤, and thank you again for all you do for us!

Hi Dianne! You absolutely can improve your bones and your skin at 80!! And I get it on the $$$$. It’s incredible the investment we can make in ourselves. I look at my skincare not only as results driven stuff but also just the value I place on ME. I hope you do too….taking the time to care for and love our skin is invaluable. That said, I bet both you and I could save some money on the skincare we buy lol I hope you have a beautiful evening ❤️❤️

I've been taking a scoop of Sparkle Wellness Skin Boost Plus in my coffee every morning for 5 years. I prefer the unflavored but they do have Acai Lemonade, Mixed Berry, Orange, and Tropical. I have it on a subscription from Amazon and it doesn't have any artificial sweetener in it since it's unflavored. I think they are the same manufacturer and Dr. Haver "Pause The Life" is a distributor.

I use Sparkle Collagen for hair, skin and nails. It is from grass fed beef and has Verisol and Nutra-C. It comes in different flavors and also a flavorless variety. It’s less expensive than some that contain the same ingredients. I’m excited to try one for bone health.

Hi Penn, I’m a 53 y/o newbie and before I got to see your video I ordered Vital Proteins as I’ve seen many comments (not here), about the benefits of collagen for hair growth. Do you have any thoughts around that? In your video, you spoke on benefits for bone and skin health, so I was just wondering about hair as that is my main concern. Love all your wealth of information , so happy I found you! 😊

You look great Penn. I’ve been taking the Sparkle brand collagen you recommended a few years ago and it has in it the collagen from Gelita. The Verisol collagen amount is the same, it just doesn’t have the extra 5,000 mg of bone support collagen. It’s on Amazon for under $40.

You look beautiful and don’t need a single thing done! About the comments you are getting, do you think your face is thinner due to Morpheus treatment? The reason I am asking is I have read a lot of women say that it melted fat in their face. I am interested in hearing your thoughts on it. You are gorgeous, as always!

I’ve been using Designs For Health collagen. It contains both Verisol and Fortibone, and it’s unflavored so I can put it in my coffee and any other drink I want. I learned about it from Bryan Johnson. It’s pricey, but worth it because it scares me how many of my elder women friends are on anti-osteoporosis drugs. Also started HRT. Penn, I absolutely love your channel! I’m going to try to give up sugar too, after seeing your results.

Wow, you look amazing!! I see a subtle change but it packs a punch! I noticed you have more upper tooth show. I know you said you’ve lost weight and did RF treatments what did you do around your mouth? Did you have an upper lip lift or a Botox lip flip? Whatever you did you look amazing!!! ❤
@PENNSMITHSKINCARE5 ай бұрын
No lip lift but so funny I JUST said to my husband I want to do that. I dissolved any old filler above my lip a few months ago (many years ago I would get a little filler ABOVE my lip thinking it would help reduce the distance between my lip and nose……of course it didn’t but it did add volume there that I hated as time went on). After I dissolved that old filler I felt like I could see my teeth more when I smile BUT you can also see the muscles above my lip (in real life more than in videos). Now I have a crease under my nose when I smile….its always something lol Anyway, if I do a lip lift I’ll document the whole thing and share here of course! ❤️❤️

I've seen several derm/esties recommended collagen supplments like Sparkle, vital proteins professional skin hydration and antioxidant support and for men their daily foundational support; sports research marine collagen; dose & co beauty collagen (or marine or dairy free creamer), youtheory collagen liquid, vital proteins collagen gummies. And pure encapsulations magnesium glycinate, which also supposedly helps with collagen production and inflammation reduction.

I started on collagen peptide supplementation at about 52. I'm had a dexiscanb last year and it showed slight osteopenia so started BHRT in Jan 2024 and have added ionic silica to the collagen peptides, and weight lifting/strength training and increased vitamin d to 20000 daily and triple the K2 to 600 mags daily. I also started DIY micro needling my face and chest in 2021. I had pigment problems and they've all pretty much disappeared. Maybe it was the collagen? I will check out Dr. Havers but it almost 100% more than the Vital Proteins beef that I've been taking for nearly ten years. We really are stewards of our health as regular AMA doctors will never tell people of at-home treatments and supplements that forestall and prevent diseases.

I stopped vital collagen and have replaced it with ARMRA colostrum? The biggest difference I’ve seen is sound and long sleep and my hair has grown tremendously. I don’t know if it’s the marketing, but they say that this is better than collagen.

I started taking Micro Ingredients brand multi collagen peptides in my morning coffee and within a week i noticed a difference in my facial lines. Unfortunately I also developed an itchy rash on both arms. It was small red bumps that drove me crazy. Stopped the collagen and the bumps went away. I’m afraid to try collagen again but i really want to as a woman heading into menopause. 😢
