I appreciate your candidness! What are some other companies other than SIU and MSC for entry level positions? And once you’ve been in the industry for a while, what are some other companies you can potentially work for?

Aye bruh, i was just showing a homie of mine what i do for work and your video popped up. Im pretty sure you was in 3rd phase when i was in 1st. Im still sailing lmao 90% of my class (857) quit. Man i feel your answer tho, like it forreal is a yes and no answer. Busting out 120 days fucks with me, that shit is too long but the bread and vacation time is unmatched so it balances out i guess. Imma stay in it until i get my properties and business going than im out!! Stay strong out there, i know the pain we gotta deal with when we away from home!!!

Thanks for another great video Tre. I know it's hard to post when you're at sea. I saw the couple near misses last week but I'm sure that has to do with the terrible Wi-Fi out there. I should be going to Piney Point next month for the last CCAP class of the year. I just paid the $615 seafarers health and benefits union dues last week and am going to Greensboro NC on the 19th for my benzene, yellow fever, etc shots! I'm almost there and getting very excited. Talk at you later Bro..

@@markmccarthy6986 on the very low end, if I make 40k a year take home that's $200,000 pocketed. That's not including if you invest in stocks or crypto. Which it could easily double or increase by 50%. There's no way I'm working 12 hour shifts 7 days a week until I'm 65 and retire at the very end of my livelihood... I want to explore the world while I'm still young and able bodied.

I'd like to get a job on a cargo ship after I get my bachelor's degree. I do want to work as a Merchant Marine for a few years. I hope I can get employed after I graduate, I will get the stuff when that time comes as well.

It’s a fun job but it’s also a shitty job. Scenery and money/benefits are great! Also not being around friends and family sucks. I almost wasn’t home when my mom died because I was at sea. Be prepared for the bad that comes with the good.

Went starting out as a entry level seaman that come straight of the street do you get a room for yourself
@dakotaguthrie143 жыл бұрын
Depends on what ship you on. Most ships yea, you get a room and bathroom. Some ships you gotta share a bathroom but you get your room, others you gotta share room/bathroom but you work 12 hours and don't go in the room then you switch off with your bunk mate and he don't go in there for 12 hours.

Ima be honest the mustache and beard doesn't do it for you, you look a lot better clean shaven. For a few mins I thought I was on the wrong channel lol. Looked completely different. But I can understand being on the ship and way from home does warrant beard growth since you're pretty much isolated.

Is it mandatory to be vaccinated or will it be soon or is there any exemption just asking thank you.🙏♥️
@wanker73713 жыл бұрын
SIU is mandating the vaccine on their ships, but I'm not certain about other companies and unions. But given the environment and travel the vaccine will most likely be mandatory for everyone within a year.
@Tr3TV20223 жыл бұрын
For sure !
@wanker73713 жыл бұрын
Keep in mind the covid vaccine is not unique in that regard. To work on ships you are required to have several other vaccines that most people don't get because you will have increased risk of exposure to those diseases.
