We check out a 1988 Suzuki GSX-R1100 motorcycle for a possible complete rebuild and restoration. Do we buy it, would you?

I had a similar problem. My carbs were leaking out the throat on my 1100 and replacing the O-rings on the float did the trick for my situation

@@paulhewson4600 The 86/88 1100 have wonderfully smooth, grunty torque from idle, right through the rev range with stock carbs and airbox. So many bikes have their carburation messed up by guys fitting pods and fiddling around. Years ago i went to the (not inconsiderable expense) of fitting K&N pod filters, a jet kit and dyno time to set it all up, I later went back to completely stock, factory setup, It works with zero hassles, gives great throttle response and it doesn't need the extra power. Its a classic bike now, for me stock is best on all my 80s bikes.
