hi val believe it or not you are very similar to me in so many ways , i find myself at peace watching the water walking at the beach , watching the changes in the ocean , i also every december go camping in a national park here its got a nountain a river and the ocean all in one , i dont have many friends any more life gets too hard alot of the time , my life can be busy with my son who lives with me and my eldest son who had an accident last year and cant walk now , i think when the dianamics changed i wasnt needed as much by people or what were friends , covid totally changed my life and the way i handle things now , i think when life is simpler im happier , ive lived alone for over 31 years and been with noone i dont have room for a complicated relationship , for over 20 years , live life , laugh and be happy , you have a beautiful family , i really apreciate all your videos , i never had family and never had much support over my lifetime , i also find it very difficult to ask for help , i love how good a relationship you have with cambell thanks for sharing ❤

Valeria, I sent my first 25 years beachin it and had more friends than any one person should have. The next 25 years I spent having and raising My Three Sons. I was married at 19 to the love of my life who drug this South Florida Blonde haired, dark coppertoned tanned to a town called White River Jct, VT. Yep. I had never seen snow. I had never experienced weather any colder than 50° and he thrusts me into, as far as I'm concerned, the middle of Alaska. Lol. No he did move me to Vermont January 16, 1987. One of the coldest winters they had had in 50 years. Ohhh Great!!! I started working for Dartmouth Hitchcock Memorial Hospital which had everything to do with the Dartmouth College in Hannover NH. 1st week of my new job at the hospital I woke up at 4:30 am. said my see ya laters and proceeded out to the of the driveway. Only to find my little front wheel drive Volkswagen Rabbit was missing. Yep, I thought for sure someone stole my Lil ugly red box. I thought too myself, WHY???? lmbo. I made my way back into the house and woke my husband up. He was snuggled up in a heating blanket and looked so cozy, I thought to myself again, why did I want this particular job. Did I mention that we had gotten 5 foot of snow through the night and my eyes must've been playing tricks on me because I had never, ever seen anything so Breathtakingly Beautiful in my entire life. It was Definitely cold as hell but unbelievable at the same time. I'm, first day on the job, my car had been stolen not sure what to do now. So, my husband started looking around in the snowballs with the opposite end of the snow shovel and I couldn't help but wonder, what the heck is this dumb ass doing!!! I had to keep reminding myself that he was a 28 year old man who had never really lived anywhere else but here, so just allow him to poke the snow. After about 10 minutes we hear this "clank" and he starts scraping the snow and he finds my Rabbit in a Deep hole of snow. I will tell you, I was a little late for work but after telling my story to those little Vermont women with my total Southern drawl, they laughed so hard and fell inlove with me at that moment and I them.... so as we close our the first 50 years of my life I'm fixing to close out my first 10 years of my 3rd, 1/4 of my life. I'm now single and what I refer to as also widowed because we divorced after 23 years of marriage however we stayed the best of friends. He was and still is my soul mate. However, he became extremely ill and I moved him in with myself and our 3rd born who was born with so many disabilities that I felt this was best for all of us. So I will be celebrating my 59th birthday on the 28th of this month. Yeeehaw!! Lol, now that I only have a couple best friends and a much quieter lifestyle, my youngest took a job in Wisconsin, Milwaukee of all places, I find myself with so much quiet time that I have managed to make a couple friends on KZbin/ Facebook. I'm so very thankful for those friendships. But, I'm sure I'm driving them nuts as well, "right Val" . Thank you for your videos and allowing people like me to dive into ya'lls world a little deeper. Love!!! I was a nurse as well many years ago! I also gave it up to raise my oldest who was quite sick when born (27 years ago). She is fine now, and now a Nurse Practioner! My youngest daughter was a well baby, but still decided to stay home and raise my girls! Never regretted it! Go Val!

I'm like you when it comes to people. I don't have friends [ my choiçe ] my husband of 35yrs & kids [ ages; 37-51 ] are all I need [ in small doses] I have 10 grandsons, 2 granddaughters & 1 Great-Grandson [ Connor who just turned 4 ] his Grandma, my oldest is raising him. He is the light of my life!! I have multiple health issues & can't walk, so Connor & I have races up & down the driveway. My PowerChair can go pretty fast & I let him win sometimes. My husband cooks for me & does my errands. But he's gone most days unless I have a Drs. appt. He takes me. He has lotz of friends. What do they call people like him [ a Social Butterfly! Lol*** He's careful & sanitizes everything to keep me safe. At least @ 75yrs old he's not a Couch Potato*** He's always busy. Well, I guess I'll say GOODNIGHT & tell Jess Sweet-dreams !! Oh, my daughter used to be my caregiver, but since she's raising Connor she went back to work. So, my husband took over because it's hard to find someone since Covid. We hired someone who stole all my medication, money, Jewelry etc.

I completely understand your frame of mind! My sweet grandson Maxwell is autistic. He will be eight years old tomorrow, February 9th. I have babysat him since he was born. HE IS MY WORLD!! Since starting school, I keep him on the weekends. I CHOOSE to be with him on the weekends vs.socializing with my women friends. He too, is FUN! In saying this...Val, I'd like for us to be friends. I think a lot of us are getting to the point where we are staying home more and traveling less. If you’re a parent or have a disability it’s so hard to schedule one and it’s so expensive. It’s amazing so many of the things you said I feel I would have answered them the same way! Sometimes our future doesn’t turn out to be what we thought it would be but it’s just about going with the flow and loving those around us. I would probably worry how things were going the whole time I was away if I could go somewhere. I really enjoy your videos! I can’t wait to find something good and fitting to send to Jess in her fan mail. She just gets so excited and I love that for her. Even if you have to end up donating her items she gets to other places or rehab homes it’s the initial mail opening I love.

I love watching your videos and I have a 9 year daughter who is diagnosed with cri-du-chat she is nonverbal and I stay at home with her and when you mentioned about instead of getting away and staying home by yourself to catch up on things that is exactly how I am!! I don’t have no one currently helping me with my daughter besides my 16 year old son who is pretty good with helping if I ask and I also have a 3 year daughter who loves to help feed her sister lol. I know as a mom to special needs children ( I have a 22 year old and a 17 year old) it is hard to get through some days and some days are better than others. I was in the medical field and gave up my career to stay at home with my oldest when there was no child care to meet his needs. I can understand some of what your going through with services as well. We live in Maine. I don't have many friends either just 1 or 2 people I consider friends that I don't see too often due to our lives. Your a great mom and I would be happy to be your friend even though I'm many miles away 🙂

First, let me say, I LOVE watching your videos and seeing your heartwarming interactions with Jess. I found you soon after my mom passed and it added some joy to my life💕! I can imagine the difficulty finding time for YOU even with Marlow being there. When my mom no longer qualified for caregivers and I could no longer afford it out of pocket, I was on my own. Made arrangements with an inlaw to come once a week. With my Lyme disease, I didn't always feel well enough to go leave and would stay back in my room. But mom preferred ME so I didn't get a break. Started going over to my sister's and getting in her bed but mom would call and wondered when I was coming home 🤣. It's SO important to find time for YOU or you'll burn out/break down. I sure miss my mama though. Val, you're a pretty exceptional woman and I admire you! Love your relationship with Jessica and your family!
