There is certainly a "community" of sorts between us fellow motorcycle riders/youtube content creators. But what about the relationship between non-motorcycle riders or youtubers? There's no way for me to know exact numbers but I suspect that I have a fair number of viewers who don't ride motorcycles or produce videos. And what a lucky niece and nephew! They are very fortunate.

I feel like I have to be mindful...at least to a degree (without overthinking it). Sure, I've caught myself bending/breaking the law from time to time; I'm certainly far from perfect. Still, I do try to "act right" most of the time! And I'm most definitely a fan of the gorgeous bike/drone footage from Vietnam 🇻🇳 and Australia 🇦🇺!

I call them my viewers/subscribers , or mostly address them as KZbines in my videos :) but When people message me saying "hey bro im your fan", that's when I know. Because THEY declared it. Without that, calling all the viewers as fans by default would be quite a self-ego stroking, which I clearly & consciously refrain from. However, I'm a SoopaBee fan :D

I couldn't agree more. Brothers on Two Wheels captures the relationship with other motorcycle riders well. But what about the relationship with those who don't ride motorcycles? I have viewers who don't ride/don't currently have a motorcycle who are just some amazing people!

A thing I never thought I'd have. Man, I tell you....every few weeks I get a heartfelt letter from someone about how I inspired them. It's nice, but then you feel a lot more responsible for how you present yourself. More than once this summer/fall I've had a moment where I've just felt like being lazy and careless with riding or fixing my bike. Perhaps even just saying the wrong thing, like being frustrated with my fanbase. I've realized how important my image is, and how much more accountable I am for whatever I do. So I have to play white knight. Help people when they ask, work through problems, admit when I'm wrong, take care with everything I do, and never presume myself deserving or undeserving. Gotta be patient and sincere, because I know how much it matters. I'd say it is the worst, but I'd say it makes me a better person, so...life.

This is exactly the point that I was struggling to make! You hit it on the head in a much better way than I was trying to articulate in the video. We not only have to play white knight because of those folks that have reached out to us to let us know how we may have affected them, but for the many others who will NEVER reach out to us. We have no clue what the true impact of our videos has on the masses. I need to have you script out my topics and I'll just do a voice over...

I watch your vids because you seem real, plus you live where I grew up, so that's a plus. As a creator, I do this to meet people and become friends with like-minded people that get on a bike(regardless of what type) and talk away. I enjoy interacting with others. I would want people to sub to me because we relate to each other. Wouldn't consider that I have fans, more that I have friends from all over the place.

I actually think that I started doing this for the sake of getting some things off my chest and what has consequently happened is that I've made connections with folks from across the globe. This has taken me totally by surprise. It was never my intention. And I'm blown away by the camaraderie from people that I won't ever meet in person. It really has been an amazing journey!

Interesting! At first I thought I was your fan, but then as I pondered what being a fan meant I wondered how I would react if I met you in person. I definitely wouldn't go all fan boy and get nervous or anything. As our stereotypical fans do when meeting their idols. I'd treat you as an equal and a friend, as I would with any other KZbinr I meet, regardless of their subscriber base.

I consider myself more of a stalker. Lack of filtering in so many US states means it is sometimes almost physically painful to watch riding. I see those huge gaps and think, what a waste of everyone's time.

I hate it. Almost every year, one of our local politicians introduces a bill to allow for filtering and it is killed each and every time. It is just absolutely crazy man. It is the one thing that I wish we could convince the public on. And your stalker ways scare me...and the rest of the motovlogging "community."
