Im becoming more and more impressed with 034. And just wish they offered a launch control feature for the MK8 GTI 380. I’d switch immediately

what is top speed of 034 motorsports low torque tune on 2024 golf gti
@034MotorsportUncut3 күн бұрын
The answer to that is as fast as the car can physically go. Our software removes the speed limiter.

Hello, there is a lot of KZbin content on MK8 ECU tunes with a DSG transmissions, however, almost none for a MK8 Golf R with a manual transmission. I have hunted around and really can’t find any feedback on how the clutch holds up. Yes, there is one from ECS tuning regarding and competitor’s ECU tune, however, it was awful and I do not trust the content. I realize harsh driving habits and launching all the time will prematurely wear the clutch. But for a daily driver with some spirited moments or passing a car is what I’m looking for. My stock clutch on my 2013 TTRs held up fine a a stage 1 tune. What’s your thoughts for the MK8 R stock clutch?

The Mk8 R Stock Clutch holds up to Stage 1 and 2 power levels quite well! @humblemechanic has ran 034 Stage 1 High Torque on his 8R Manual for about a year now with great results. If you want to be extra safe, you can run our Low Torque files which still offer immense horsepower gains at lower torque levels.

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback. The humble mechanic needs more MK8 R content 😊

I have a ‘24 380 SE with APR E85 tune full torque. Ive had the tune (started on 87 for 10k) for 12k miles and have never burned the clutch, just rubber 😂 And I have only launched the car hard a handful of times, 3 that I remember. No issues with slipping there. Just one time accidentally slipped the clutch downshifting from 3rd to 2nd on the highway for a quick evasive maneuver. But the car has been rock solid. Very impressed. 380 trim is well worth the $$$ and I think the future values will show that.

Mk8 GTI manual here. Do I have to install any additional hardware for the stage 1 tune to work properly like an intercooler or air intake?
@034MotorsportUncut10 ай бұрын
No hardware is required to be installed, but adding an intake and intercooler absolutely will improve performance on our Stage 1 tune! You can see the full list of required and recommended hardware upgrades per stage here: www.034motorsport.com/034motorsport-mk8-volkswagen-gti-dynamicplus-software.html#:~:text=ECU%20TUNE%20SUPPORTING%20MODIFICATION%20REQUIREMENTS%3A

Mk8 gti owner here, stage 2 by you guys. So if you load the high torque file on a stock dsg, the torque limit will still keep it safe? Just curious
@034MotorsportUncut8 ай бұрын
Yes, the Stock TCU will limit torque regardless of the ECU file flashed, but we prefer not to rely on the TCU torque limiter safeties to keep power in check, which is why we have designated Low Torque files that do not ride the TCU limiter.

Hey just got a stage 1 ecu for my mk8. Is there anyone I can email for a tune with more overrun/pops?
@034MotorsportUncut8 ай бұрын
Unfortunately we do not offer any crackle tunes that would be more aggressive on Stage 1. If you would like more aggressive sounding pops, we would recommend upgrading your exhaust system. You can also upgrade your Intake, Intercooler, & Downpipe to run our Stage 2 ECU tuning, which has more aggressive pops for sanctioned racing use only.
