I did the Shop DAP Holy Shift kit, love it. You should also look into upgrading your bleeder block and clutch line, and remove the swirl valve too. Something I am going to do as well soon.

The Short Shifter I have in my 7.5 GTI is the Boomba Racing Adapter! But a GTI with a Short Shifter is always a must! Period!

How do you like it can you tell a significant difference
@Jor-ElKrypton0079 ай бұрын
@@1stockmk7honestly it’s cool man. I like it a lot the throws are shorter. Like for example when you shift from neutral to first - stock you kinda hit your knuckles on the hvac controls depending on how you shift of course haha - with a short shifter you don’t hit it anymore. Shifts throughout the gears are shorter. Not like F1 short but loosely the same as this video if not shorter by a smidge. I like the adapter a lot took seriously 10 mins to install.
@Einsteindks276 ай бұрын
By far, THE easy-fix! Did it on my Mk8 '24 GTI. Maybe replace the shift bracket later when things were out
@Mk7_kev9 ай бұрын
If you dont have an aftermarket clutch line, I did the ECS stainless line and it works well. Definitely changed the way my stock clutch felt when I did the cdv delete and line combo, that would be the last piece to your clutch system you’d be missing

I did the clutch valve delete, spring delete, billet bleeder valve, stainless steel clutch line, metal cable bracket with solid bushings. I didn't really notice a difference until i installed the superpin 😂

Imo the diesel geek super pin was a huge change in how much slop was there previously to installing. But it was a pain in the ass ripping apart the whole interior

I would recommend powerflex mount inserts for all three mounts (engine, transmission, and pendulum). That will tighten up your shifts significantly. It didn't add a noticeable amount of nvh to my mk6 after installing them along with the short shift kit once they broke in. Made shifting much more crisp, easy, and engaged.
@jeremymitchell84709 ай бұрын
550 gram knob from Biketworkz and the DG sigma 6 made a huge difference on my Mk8. I ordered the super pin to see if I can get to Civic Si/TypeR levels of shift quality. Full stainless clutch line, billet bleed block and a BMW clutch stop will round it out for an awesome package.

Can you speak more about the alignment part of this? The results look great
@Cade_Staton3019 ай бұрын
I installed mine not long ago and I did have to realign mine a few times. I had to pull the side to side bracket and the front to back bracket to make it line up properly. I still do have some hesitation from first into second but it isn’t bad. I need to go back under the hood and mess with it a little more

Quick question. Recently got my MK7 GTI, bought it with EQT STAGE 2 and ARM DOWNPIPE with MagnaFlow High flow Catback. Besides intake and Intercooler, what would be a good next step? Inlet pipe? Still on IS20 for right now. Chasing reliable daily power. Not really race car status 😂 even tho at 400HP it’s basically a race car
