Thanks and a good discussion. I see some podcasts with 2 people and they are not using phones. Perhaps the mics are directional like a cardioid and proper placement of speakers as you have done.

How do I optimize myself to be a guest on Streamyard? I am using a Rodecaster Pro2 and Rode Pro condenser mic, with a Marantz tower cam situated above my monitor, running through a MacBook Air Pro. I am running my playback ausio so far through my computer onboard speakers. This setup works amazingly well for my Zoom sessions with clients, and my personal broadcasts over Zoom or KZbin so far, but when I am an interview guest on other folks' shows (and 90% of them use Streamyard), my voice sounds highly digitized AND I get terrible echo. Do I need to wear headphones and run my own vocals through that way, disabling the computer speakers while on other people's shows? I notice everyone doing Streamyard shows uses them and everyone doing tutorials does, too. Is this the thing that is causing me these problems? I am considering moving over to Streamyard for my own broadcasts, but if it doesn't play well with my system, I want to know now. Thanks so much for any insights! I want to up my game AND be a great guest on other people's Streamyard shows!

Here’s my dilemma. My husband and I both host a podcast. We sit in the same room but different parts of the room. We tried to have him use his ear buds, but being in the same room it’s alot of feedback. We can’t sit next to each other as he is bed ridden and I sit in A chair. Would another camera help? Mics?

Hey! This can definitely be tricky. We would recommend that if your husband can't wear headphones, that you should at least wear headphones. We would also recommend that you both get microphones that you can place close to you to minimize picking up the other's voice. If you can sit in a different room than your husband, that would be great, but if you must be in the same room, can you mute his computer speaker to minimize the chance of echo? Hope this helps! - Katie 🦆

Here is a question gor you: can you make the Go Live Button Flash until it us pressed? I have screwed up a couple of podcasts thinking we are live when in fact we weren’t.🤣

how do you monitor your own voice while streaming? i want to monitor my voice to see how my voice is sounding in my xlr mic. for example. you're using a special microphone in this video but you are not using headphones. so there is no way to know how you sound to the audience until after you're done streaming but i want to know how my voice is sounding in real time. thank you!

How can you monitor through your headphones with a guest if there isn’t input monitoring?
@StreamYard
@StreamYard 4 ай бұрын
StreamYard does not have a "direct monitor" that would allow you to hear yourself in the studio. This is because most users don't use headphones and a direct monitor would cause a feedback loop. If you wear headphones, you will be able to hear everyone in the studio except for yourself. - Katie 🦆

@@StreamYard thank you for the reply ! I understand what you’re saying. The problem is, I can’t hear the guest in my headphones. They come through my monitor speakers out loud which is picked in my mic. That’s an issue

Can you give me instructions on how to make an Avatar?
@StreamYard
@StreamYard Жыл бұрын
An avatar is just an image. The easiest way it to use your smartphone's camera app. I would suggest taking a square photo. Here's how on iPhone using the built-in camera app. Launch the camera app, then switch to photo and then tap the ^ icon and change it from 4:3 or 16:9 to square. Take a photo and then send it to yourself. Once you have the photo on your computer, go into StreamYard and into a broadcast. On your video feed, click the three dots and select "edit audio avatar". At this point, you can click the plus sign and add upload the photo that you took. Christian Karasiewicz 🦆
