Poodles are one of the top for being the smartest dog. So you will not have a problem training ur pup. It takes a little of patience and practice but it’s worth every effort 👍❤️❤️❤️✌️

Poodles are great. Mine is a poodle. They are ranked number 2 after the Australian Shepherd for smartest dogs in the world. Poodles can learn several hundred words. Mine was able to learn words just after saying the word 2 times. They are intelligent and not like a robot, also independent minded. Do not force them. Respect them. Poodles bring huge joy to their family members, VERY loyal.

My poodle knows the difference between urinating and passing motion. I trained her that way from puppyhood.

@@dashingheightsDon’t be so upset over the toilet mishaps. Accidents for all puppies happen. Do not scold or beat him. Instead, just carry him to the urine pad and tell him, not scold, tell him that is where he is supposed to do it. Maybe even use the word you want him to associate with urinating. And when you see him actually urinating on his urine pad, say your chosen word for urine and praise him. It takes a few months but poodles are intelligent and will learn fast

I highly recommend freeze dried raw. They are considered premium in commercial dog food but highest quality. Do not give kibbles. Those are the worst. If you do, I mean that is your choice. When he is older say after a year old, you can consider switching to raw meats. You can also cook for him fresh meats currently and mix with his dog food. Nutrition for puppies is very important as it will determine their long term health

You will need to be able to afford long term, but it is not just the money, you will need to know that bringing a dog home, is a commitment. Giving your new family member up is not an option, ever. These are things people who are thinking of getting a dog, better think hard and long. Take a few years to think about it. Never get a dog on impulse. Also, never beat your dog. Don’t bother threatening them. Train them through positive love reinforcement. With potty training, mistakes will always happen. If you cannot LOVE, do not get a dog.

With these prices, you can be glad that this dog will never go to college and you can save on those fees.

@@dashingheights I'm honestly very uncomfortable with dogs urinating and defecating inside the house. However, I suspect this might be common in big cities. The dog is, of course, cute. I once took care of a friend's dog for a few days, it was a Bichon/Yorkie, also known as a Biyok or Biyork mix. It reminded me a lot of your dog.

I feel you guy’s vibes regarding this poodle is a bit negative. Your theme is about whether you regret having him and are even considering giving him up. That is the problem with people nowdays. You already brought him home. Take some responsibility please. He is a living thing, a life, not just a commodity. You are his world.

That’s exactly our journey :) Undeniably the troublesomeness made us doubt if our decision is right, but in the end we relish in the joyful moments that comes with. I hope you watched till the end
