Manual haters often tell manual enthusiasts, "If more people bought them they wouldn't be disappearing. It's YOUR fault they are becoming extinct because you guys didn't buy enough of them." Sales #'s(demand) have and do determine quite a bit in diminishing manual offerings for sure. But, manufacturers regularly, for years, paired manuals only with their weakest 'meh' engine offerings and almost never offered a manual with AWD. This also played a part in less buyer interest and lower sales #'s for manuals. And I'm "not" referring to exotic manual sports cars. They are a whole different market.
@Realistick5 ай бұрын
Limiting the options has definitely reduced appeal, though I’d say Ford did a pretty good job of at least offering most of the packages with the 7 speed, even adding the Sasquatch after customers asked for it! Maybe it would be cool to see it with the 2.7l but the 2.3 is good too.
@khakiswag5 ай бұрын
Manuals used to have a performance and fuel efficiency advantage over automatics but that’s not true anymore. A modern automatic is faster and more fuel efficient than a manual. Folks aren’t buying them because they don’t see value in them.

Car enthusiasts are broke.
@Al-Akram925 ай бұрын
And manual owners love to find any opportunity to let everyone in the room know they own/drive a manual. The conversation could be about picking up a pizza order and they’ll tell you they’re going to go get pizza in their manual transmission car. The sheer amount of time they try to wrangle into the conversation would be funny if it weren’t so sad and desperate. Whatever they’re trying to overcompensate for, it ain’t working.
@Chubbydippin5 ай бұрын
@@Al-Akram92 In this very segment, Tyler even states, "upon it's release, the manual transmission for the Bronco is only offered/paired with the 2.3 liter 4 cylinder engine." The weaker engine option. And not offered with the V6. Which is why I made my comment. Manual enthusiasts don't want to force everyone to drive them or bash those who don't. It's just what we prefer. I didn't "wrangle" manual into the conversation. The manual option for the Bronco was brought up within the segment. Your hater response is precisely what I was referring to. Silly, predictable and not at all surprising. It probably also annoys you when people prefer vanilla ice cream over chocolate ice cream too.

I couldn't afford a Bronco. But I made a great deal on a 2025 Explorer 4x4 Active. Stickered for $43899 and I paid $39k. That was out the door. I was very impressed by the 2.3 eco motor and ten speed! That really sold me on the car. Coming up on 1000 break in miles now. It has limbered up and runs even better. I'll do an early full service on it soon and call it good.
@spyder00006924 күн бұрын
MSRP was 43899? If you got that for 39k out the door with tax/title/license that was a steal. That would have meant vehicle price was negotiated around $36k (about a 18% discount).
@chairrider246224 күн бұрын
@@spyder000069 I had a credit union check for $39k and told them it was all I could afford. So, it had to cover everything. Took all afternoon into the evening, but they relented, and I drove it home. And it was the 27th, end of the month, I knew they had bills due on their floor plan. They sold a car and I got a fair deal. I did the break in service on it and went to full synthetic. Have 2k miles on it now. A terrific all-purpose SUV IMO.

Replaced the 255 not all terrains for 285 Territory MT. Added a set of rock sliders/steps, and also bought the Ford Performance Procal4 tuner to give the 2.3 just a little more pep in its step. Vehicle to grid is taking the off road world by storm now and...does this even need to be explained as to why this is so? I mean seriously why has this taken so long? Ford clearly is dragging its feet for this offering why I have no clue still but Jeep most definitely will not be. Don't even get me started on UTVs and Polaris which actually *ARE* what off road vehicles are *SUPPOSED* to be. Just a matter of time now when farm tractors will start offering vehicle to grid for diesel power as well and again...why hasn't this even been done yet again? How about for fishing boats that cost well into the six figures now that just sit in the driveway 55 weeks out of the year if not more? Why would anyone by a boat that does not have vehicle to grid power as standard now? Even GM is going to offer whole home energy solutions *IMMINENTLY* now. Tesla Cybertruck sells as fast as can be made as does the Ford F150 hybrid the latter in production for *YEARS* now.
