Great video, I have a 2023 Badlands with the 2.7 V6 and hardtop and no problems at all. The first 9 months I have had it I have put 20k miles and lots of long distance drives and not a problem. I came from a Jeep and it was exhausting to drive over distances and when I first sat in the Bronco I noticed a positive difference immediately before even driving it.

there’s a 8k difference in msrp between the base of this and the base of a wrangler. When you get to mid trims they end up pretty much around the same price. let’s be real though, jeeps and broncos are toys. If you need an A to B car you shouldn’t be looking at the anyway

For the wiper issue - Ford has a TSB for that where they have to do a firmware flash to resolve that issue. I had it done to my 22 Badlands at last service. Your dad’s spot on when he said the Bronco is something someone looks for when they want a Jeep, but don’t want to buy a Jeep.

I couldn't afford a Bronco. But I made a great deal on a 2025 Explorer 4x4 Active. Stickered for $43899 and I paid $39k. That was out the door. I was very impressed by the 2.3 eco motor and ten speed! That really sold me on the car. Coming up on 1000 break in miles now. It has limbered up and runs even better. I'll do an early full service on it soon and call it good.
@spyder000069
@spyder000069 2 ай бұрын
MSRP was 43899? If you got that for 39k out the door with tax/title/license that was a steal. That would have meant vehicle price was negotiated around $36k (about a 18% discount).
@chairrider2462
@chairrider2462 2 ай бұрын
@@spyder000069 I had a credit union check for $39k and told them it was all I could afford. So, it had to cover everything. Took all afternoon into the evening, but they relented, and I drove it home. And it was the 27th, end of the month, I knew they had bills due on their floor plan. They sold a car and I got a fair deal. I did the break in service on it and went to full synthetic. Have 2k miles on it now. A terrific all-purpose SUV IMO.

Manual haters often tell manual enthusiasts, "If more people bought them they wouldn't be disappearing. It's YOUR fault they are becoming extinct because you guys didn't buy enough of them." Sales #'s(demand) have and do determine quite a bit in diminishing manual offerings for sure. But, manufacturers regularly, for years, paired manuals only with their weakest 'meh' engine offerings and almost never offered a manual with AWD. This also played a part in less buyer interest and lower sales #'s for manuals. And I'm "not" referring to exotic manual sports cars. They are a whole different market.
@Realistick
@Realistick 6 ай бұрын
Limiting the options has definitely reduced appeal, though I’d say Ford did a pretty good job of at least offering most of the packages with the 7 speed, even adding the Sasquatch after customers asked for it! Maybe it would be cool to see it with the 2.7l but the 2.3 is good too.
@khakiswag

Manuals used to have a performance and fuel efficiency advantage over automatics but that’s not true anymore. A modern automatic is faster and more fuel efficient than a manual. Folks aren’t buying them because they don’t see value in them.

And manual owners love to find any opportunity to let everyone in the room know they own/drive a manual. The conversation could be about picking up a pizza order and they’ll tell you they’re going to go get pizza in their manual transmission car. The sheer amount of time they try to wrangle into the conversation would be funny if it weren’t so sad and desperate. Whatever they’re trying to overcompensate for, it ain’t working.
@Chubbydippin
@Chubbydippin 6 ай бұрын
@@Al-Akram92 In this very segment, Tyler even states, "upon it's release, the manual transmission for the Bronco is only offered/paired with the 2.3 liter 4 cylinder engine." The weaker engine option. And not offered with the V6. Which is why I made my comment. Manual enthusiasts don't want to force everyone to drive them or bash those who don't. It's just what we prefer. I didn't "wrangle" manual into the conversation. The manual option for the Bronco was brought up within the segment. Your hater response is precisely what I was referring to. Silly, predictable and not at all surprising. It probably also annoys you when people prefer vanilla ice cream over chocolate ice cream too.

I bought a 23 Big Bend about 8 months ago. Getting ready to cross the 10k mark. I have addressed the few complaints I had. Replaced all the factory speakers/ rear pods with Kicker CS series and SSV 6.5" pods in the rear. Also added a JL sub to replace the anemic factory junk. Replaced the 255 not all terrains for 285 Territory MT. Added a set of rock sliders/steps, and also bought the Ford Performance Procal4 tuner to give the 2.3 just a little more pep in its step. Overall, it's been a fantastic vehicle to own/drive. Many more mods are planned, so it will be constantly evolving into my own personal Bronco.

It has 3000 miles on it, I drive 2 hours to Seattle every other weekend and it is really comfortable. I sometimes just go for a drive with no destination cause it's so fun to drive. I just bought door bags, so I can put the doors in them when I take them off, they won't get scratched. I bet this guy hasnt even drove one, just here getting likes 72. 4 subscribers. 3 years 35k miles on Badlands. Both headrest are broken, won't go up and or lock in the forward position. Soft top which is "glued" at attachment crossbar is now unglued. Doubled the noise and ford dealer told me "just super glue it or something ". Bought it used 3k miles so no warranty! Back door windows do not go all the way up, about an 1/8 inch and well, more wind noise. Blows fuses all the time, washer pump, etc. Lights on side view mirror broke at attachment clip. This after some non vigorous off roading. Then...windshield cracked while again some simple off roading. 63k piece of junk.

Got a 24 Bronco Black Diamond 4dr 2.3 / 10sp auto soft top. It’s been primarily a daily driver, predominantly highway miles. After 16,500 miles, very satisfied with the choice. High of 21 mpg on a long trip from NM to Northern ID. Run around commute getting 18.5. Soft top design is a POS. Compared to the Jeep soft top, the Bronco is poorly designed and the ridiculous rear “lift gate” window is terrible. The only other “negative” is the way the windows go down and then back up during open and close….. too many rattles….. otherwise. Very Good!

I’ve had my windshield fluid not come out on a vehicle before and it was due to contaminates in the fluid spray nozzles and had to blow them out or clean them.

I have had the windshield wiper fluid issue occasionally. I found that if I just hold the button down for a few seconds then it will start. Strang how it’s occasional. My biggest issue the CarPlay not connecting or disconnecting.

This was a pretty good review and I like that you got to do it with your Dad. I am just not sure how much I should believe a car review from a guy that crosses his arms when he turns the wheel like. 🙂 Overall though a well thought out review of what I consider a cool vehicle.

I do wish they came with a hard top with large moon roof option and the loss of the base model is a big blow. I went from a jeep gladiator ( which was a reliability disaster) to a better 4runner. I did like the base squatch with the area 51 color but it seems that is gone now. I like the way the bronco looks I am just wary with all the issues the ford transit vans at work have...not great quality.

I'm curious about the shift extension that you mentioned and the really cool retro shift ball. I don't see a link for it down in the description maybe you could share that? Otherwise I really love my 2024 Heritage and the 4-cylinder engine with the manual transmission drives very sporty I have no regrets either. Thanks for sharing 🤙🏼

Vehicle to grid is taking the off road world by storm now and...does this even need to be explained as to why this is so? I mean seriously why has this taken so long? Ford clearly is dragging its feet for this offering why I have no clue still but Jeep most definitely will not be. Don't even get me started on UTVs and Polaris which actually *ARE* what off road vehicles are *SUPPOSED* to be. Just a matter of time now when farm tractors will start offering vehicle to grid for diesel power as well and again...why hasn't this even been done yet again? How about for fishing boats that cost well into the six figures now that just sit in the driveway 55 weeks out of the year if not more? Why would anyone by a boat that does not have vehicle to grid power as standard now? Even GM is going to offer whole home energy solutions *IMMINENTLY* now. Tesla Cybertruck sells as fast as can be made as does the Ford F150 hybrid the latter in production for *YEARS* now.
