Just to make everyone aware with the importance of paying attention is that the letter wasn’t written by Holly. However, but by a young girl or boy who heartbreakingly won’t get to live a longer life. However, that hasn’t stop them from reflecting on the brighter sides and bad. To be appreciative of life itself and who you are.

Frankly, seeing you traveling makes me reconsider it. It's very inspiring. I thought I was too anxious, fearful, asocial, dependent, introverted and a homebody... and in many ways I thought we were similar. So seing you doing this, struggling a lot at the beginning but pushing it and now loving it. Most of the people I know who did similar solo travels were very outgoing, independent and resourceful.. which is quite my opposite I won't go to Australia, but I would love to travel a month throughout the UK

Hi, Holly! I've been following your channel for quite sometime. Before you were about to complete your graduation, I think? Ever since I've known you, I've appreciated your work ethic, your sincerity and your authenticity. You are one of the catalyst in figuring out my life. The way you lead your life with honesty, the way you have challenged yourself, I don't have the perfect way to articulate how it has impacted me. But if I've to give a brief description it would be - you've shown me what it is like to keep working on things you care about and keep going in life regardless of the few speed breakers. The happiness after sadness is a bliss. Your recent Instagram post on your plans for life and how you do not want commit to just one path for whole life - this was a revelation. Last couple of years I've been lost thinking what should I do in my life. I've kind of figured it out. But this thought made me realise that there's no one plan. Life will change so will what i want out of it. So it is important to keep your mind open and think out of the box. The text you read in the end. It was like a revelation. Like it was always out there but no one said it in that way. Thank you Holly. You're an amazing one. Your solo trip to Australia has been a delight to watch so far. I wish you have an incredible rest of the journey!

How about marine biology masters in Australia? Many scientists are even diving as part of their job. Also, there's a thing called Skilled occupations list for Australia (which is mostly to know if one would get a visa; you as a UK citizen, I expect, don't have to deal with that, but it shows what professions are wanted and potentionally well paid). The thing that helped me find new ideas to what to do next, was just going through the options without discarding those I didn't choose in the past. Good luck!
@pamrizzo66634 жыл бұрын
Freya Nørregaard Holly would have to apply for a student visa, as she isn’t technically qualified in the skilled occupations we have. The process is the same as if she live in any other country, being from the UK doesn’t really make it any different, and international student fees are huge with no loans available so that’s also something to consider.

Well there is a different thing between traveling to a place and living to a place... I have traveled so much that I had to come to the conclusion that I couldn't live in all the places that I've dreamed of .. You should travel more and decide then .. We have the tendency of idealizing places and mostly when you are 20 years old ;but when you are gowning up you discover that sometimes things are not good as you thought of.. I had several friends who moved out to Australia but came back after 2 years because it was not what they expected. Also the climate in Australia is getting worse and worse. Of course you are young and I am just a few years older than you but I have seen so many places that I finally ended up back in Switzerland ( which I hated for years , but somehow it's the place I love the much I think ). You'll see ... never give up on your dreams though !

traveling has always been my dream, I've wanted to explore different places around the world. But during the last few years, as climate change has become more and more imminent, I've had to put that dream aside. I just can't get on a plane and fly to another country when I know how much it affects the environment. I know you can pay flight taxes or smth but they won't take the emissions off the atmosphere. But recently I've realized that there is much to see in my home country too! And I don't have to fly around, I can take the train which is much more environment-friendly.
@lottecooper43704 жыл бұрын
Thank you!! That is exactly what we need. I'm studying sustainable tourism and hate how little people really think about how they affect the environment. Our home countries are always amazing as well! And also you can travel on land really far, you can do interrailing for example and see sooo many different countries :)

Kuura ok so two things: (1) animal agriculture contributes more greenhouse gases than transportation combined, so changing a diet is more effective (not trying to be pushy at all, but it’s what the stats say) and (2) you can carbon offset these days as you said, which I know is not a solution, but it all helps! From personal experience, travelling has been one of the most eye opening experiences of my life: it really has changed me!
@kuura374 жыл бұрын
@@HollyGabrielle yes I know that animal agriculture is the worst, and I haven't been eating meat for a few years.
