I strongly urge you to reflect on your statement “If we can’t do it for Palestine we can’t do it for anyone” This is a dangerous and harmful sentiment that promotes selective or hierarchal activism. You also said “Palestine is the one issue that all of us can unite around” - ask yourself why that is? Why are we not all able to unite around other struggles like Sudan? Is it because we have preconceived notions of those areas? Or is it more fashionable to align with some struggles over others? We dont need one particular struggle to “create the capacity” to stand up for other causes. I stand for Palestinian liberation but one’s activism and organising efforts may prioritise other struggles in contrast to your suggestion that Palestine comes first “so that we can have capacity for the others.”
