Because Japanese people when asked a question, tend to get straight to the point. Although you can see some of the men contemplate the question before they answer instead of answering right away, because they would rather stick with the norm and lie than admit some truths. Japanese people are raised to work in a collective so you will notice that if one person says one thing their friends (most of the time) will then instantly agree, even if they don't agree. This means they then fit in and can just answer the question quickly and calmly so they don't seem out of the ordinary. They are so calm because they don't have to think about the question they just piggy back of someone else's answer and go with it. I guess the only person here who may not remain calm is the person who gives the first initial opinion in which case you see most of the people think for a while before they answer.
