Do Narcissists Know Right from Wrong? 🤔

Look, I get it. This is aimed at people who have been abused by a narcissist but I feel like people really do forget that being a narcissist is a personality disorder and you can’t control that. I actually know quite a few narcissist who are happy healthy relationships. There’s nothing wrong with needing to seek help if you’ve been through something like this, I understand. But maybe you should consider how you word yourself and how and what you post online because it’s kind of derogatory. Not everyone who has narcissistic personality disorder is this manipulative horrible person. They genuinely cannot help it. Being an abuser is something very very different though. Many narcissist tend to become abusers, yes. But your problem should be with that not with narcissists in general.

I understand your concern. While not everyone with Narcissistic Personality Disorder is abusive, many people with this disorder have a limited sense of right and wrong and focus mainly on their own needs. This can hurt others. Raising awareness helps those affected recognize the signs and take steps to protect themselves. As a survivor and certified trauma-informed coach, my intention is to help people understand these dynamics and reclaim their power. Those who are aware and have done the self-work to maintain healthy relationships prove that change is possible if they truly want it. However, many often don’t want to or don’t see it as worth the effort. ♥
