Thank you for sharing this great advice. I made a business page and there was literally crickets for two weeks, not a single like or interaction. My first ad was a click link goal and that was a waste of money so I started watching videos on how to get organic page likes and came across your video. I'm a small business owner so I setup a page like goal ad for a minimum of $10 a day and got 22 likes within a few hours so it's growing and going. Super golden advice here, he really does know what he's talking about.

I am so glad I came across this post. I've been doing a music marketing course for about a year now and they focus everything on organic growth through building a community around your music. It isn't working. I am about to launch my first album and before I start sending out press releases I need social proof and page likes. Constantly hearing in this marketing course and it's forums that low growth means your content is boring and that one must be posting at least 6 times a day...so great to hear you don't agree. Ben I see your point but for those who are only setting up the Facebook business account and want to remain anonymous therefore cannot sent out invitations, fake likes, are essential for the short period. It doesn’t matter if they fade away after awhile, in actual fact that’s what we’d want! The initial Facebook likes are only for show until we get visitors...

OK, last night, I just followed the video and started the ad with USD15 daily budget. The estimated like is around 200-500. And this morning when I woke up, there are more than1300 likes. Almost triple the estimated numbers. So, thank you Ben. You save my page, my time and my money. Lastly, do NOT buy Facebook Page likes! It's much cheaper to do it with facebook ad and you dont have to worry your account get banned or what.

Good video. Unfortunately Facebook no longer has the “get likes” campaign goal. I’ve tried to boost posts with page like button but unfortunately people end up liking my posts more so than my page by a margin of 10 to 1. I then have to manually ask everyone that have liked my “like-my-page post” but then Facebook partially disables my account for spamming activity?! Crazy, they charge me boost, then they suggest that I invite people to like my page, and finally they partially disable my page for giving them my money and following their suggestion.

Hi Nikhil, I wouldn't worry about being charged per like. Facebook always calculates cost on an impression basis and then converts the cost into whatever you select. So how much you're charged doesn't change, you just see the data presently differently. Provided you select the Page like campaign objective you'll be fine.

Your videos are really informative. I am learning a lot. I have a question: If we can't even reach our own audience, what's the use of getting FB likes? You said organic reach is dead. I thought organic reach means when someone finds you on FB and like your page but it's really really disappointing that we cant even reach our own people who liked our page in the past. So it means whatever page likes we get on FB, we are not going to reach them when we post future content on our business page. So the key question: Why to acquire more FB likes? just to get them in a group?

That's a great question and I think there are two major positives to having a lot of Facebook Page likes. The first is as you mentioned - inviting those people to join your Facebook Group as Groups still have a lot of organic reach. The 2nd is credibility. Your Facebook Page (and business) looks a lot more credible if you have 6,000 likes than if you have 60. This point is undervalued by most Facebook advertisers - appearances really matter.

The problem i have is this. If you are getting facebook page like from any random across the globe at a cheap cost, adding them to a group wont give you a lot of value as they arent targetted. The only way i think this will work is if your group gets big enough it shows higher in the group rankings and search filter in facebook so then a larger portion of people join the group for free that are a lot more targetted. Is this correct?

Yes that is certainly part of the advantage - my Group now gets a lot of new members through Facebook search. It's also important to remember that the value of a Facebook Group often increases with the size of the community. More people to interact with, etc. Therefore you will find it easier to convince people to join a larger group than a smaller one.

Ben Heath mmh that's incredible, because for example if I search for the fb pages of popular fashion brands or european airlines, I can see ONLY their italian page (I can't choose which 'country' of the page to view like Ryanair Uk, Germany, etc), and containing posts written by their italian staff. If someone, from let's say Poland, search for them will see only the polish version containing posts written by the polish staff, and so on..

This is possible only with global pages - you need a proof that you do business in multiple countries in order to create a global/local pages.

You're very wrong Mr Heath, you can get organic reach by posting engaging content I really wish I could share a screenshot with you on my statistics. My page has gotten up to 1300 new likes in less than 4days, 89k organic reach and 26k reaction in less than 7days. I posted something about 3days ago and it already reached 12.6k people (I wish there was somewhere we could chat so that I could show you a screenshot). I was reading the comments section and saw a guy that said he used ads and got 50likes in 5hrs, that's very pathetic. The truth is that you can get good page likes and organic reach, better than ads, for free. I was enjoying your video but you completely lost me at Ads
