@@TheGOAT-fx9wx hilarious. I can wait a year or two. There will be a discount and a ton of patches. I did the same with Kingdom Come. Waited four years, got the game plus all DLC for 8$ while many people bought it full price at release and didn't finish the game because of it's many bugs at launch day.

my question is that I don't understand what will be out on the 26th? For example, in the developement tree, it says that some skills are locked in early access. Will these skills be avalible on the 26th, or at a different time? The reason I ask this is because of the fact that I don't know if it means that those skills are locked for the review copies, or the early access?

It will be locked on 26th as well. Only difference you can expect from review copies will probably be some bug fixes (if any)

Anytime people start hyping a game up as a ‘xyz killer’ it never works out for the game and I’ve seen multiple people market this as a total war killer..ultimately the hype is going to kill the game’s long term success, a lot of people are going to buy it and play it for a week and never touch it again, but hopefully I’m wrong though..

It's a Total War killer.... *ONLY* in the sense that it's _"similar"_ and fresh. However, they're two different genres. One is not a substitute. That said, games in different genres have supplanted failing franchises before.

I will just add, buy the game if the CURRENT state is okay for you. Dont expect "game will be better" and cry if somthing is not delivered. Buy the game when the current state is okay for you. While i see game is still classified as "solo dev", which is not true for sure, as you can see quality of the graphics and the game.

I am literally one of the people with early-er access. And at no point I said that. Those people know EXACTLY what this game is and ARE having a correct expectations from it, but most people WILL NOT. I only said That in the video, at no point I called ANYONE dishonest

I'm saying "Nyxson bad" for making this video as I respect your content and you as a Creator, just making the point that by now people SHOULD know about EA vs full release and Steam even states that "This Game is in Early Access" when you buy it. I also agree that "people" can have a serious lack of awareness when doing, well, anything these days so you're aren't wrong that many will think it's full release on the 26th instead of realizing it's EA.

It's not an EA game, it's a tech demo costing 40$ (On sale for 30$?). I've no idea why all the fool streamers is hyping this so badly. Sure I look forward to other companies implementing some of the tech this dev has shown, but I don't ever expect Manor Lords to get finished or to be a good game. Maybe the dev will sell it to EA or some other big "publisher" and they will release some broken game one day.

Yeah i've seen a trend of "releases" on steam...where the game isn't releasing, it's just opening the "paid beta" access to public. Which is annoying as hell ! Few weeks ago i saw a release date for a game and was excited only to realize...EARLY ACCESS !? wtf, they said release...like wtf is this. Also KZbinrs are feeding into this by making content for games that are NO WHERE NEAR finished, meaning Early Access. KZbinr "Worth a Buy" even said for Manor Lords "if you are not playing this you are missing out" and i posted a commend, "i'm missing out what ? The game isn't out yet ! Or are you referring to the hype train, if so, i'm gladly missing that."

Got a couple of questions about the battles if anyone wouldn't mind:- 1.) Can you pause the game during battles and issue commands? I don't want any git gud twaddle. I'm a 24yr TW vet. It's just a question. 2.) Are there campaign and battle difficulties? If so how does the battle difficult manifest itself is it just stat buffing and nerfing like in Total War? 3.) Do battles have time limits and if so can they be disabled? 4.) Mechanically how do retreat/withdrawals work? 5.) How deep are the mechanics relating to weather, season, terrain and night battles? 6.) Is there mounted warfare? Now again I don't want any smart ass fluff about it being smaller scale, levy-based, horses being expensive and more associated with social class and blah blah. I'm aware. It's a just a question. Does it feature at all? I've not seen any footage of mounted units at all so I'm curious.

1) it's not a total war game. It doesn't have separate battles. Battles are happening in real time, and just like everywhere else, you can pause or accelerate time anytime you want. 2) There is, but in early access only difference is how often you will be attacked and how large is enemy army. 3) Again, not total war. So no. 4) You just move them someplace else OR there is the command to slowly retreat moving your forces slowly back and increasing their defence 5) Weather effects crop growth (don't remember encountering other weather events but they ARE in the game). Seasons affect crops, food and fuel consumption. Terrain dictates which crops can grow and where, where you can build and also water resources. As for the night battles, there is no day night cycle. 6) It is, but I haven't used it yet. And I am pretty sure there is footage for that somewhere

@@Nyxson Thank you greatly. I've literally posted this on like 6 different videos in the last 2 days with no responses. One problem is a lot of it can't be answered by regular folk because they don't have access to the game. I've mainly just been trying to garner the tangible differences to *Battles* between Manor Lords and Total War in terms of mechanics. Had a lot of people give me crap like "did you know they're smaller hurr durr" and it's like well yes thanks we all know that, I'm interested in the mechanics. Much appreciated though 👌

The battle is not a big focus in this game, you may have 1 battle an hour or maybe 1 in 5h. Seems like you are very focused on battle aspect of the game which this game is not focusing on that much.

I agree about the hype. I remember the hype surrounding Starfield was extreme. I still bought it though my expectations were lower. With Manor Lords, i played the demo back a couple of years ago so i think it'll be worth it based on that. But as you said it's coming out in EA, so as long as the price reflects that i'll be happy to buy.

He’s right. I didn’t realize until just a few days ago that the game was launching into early access, and it’s been in my Steam wishlist for years. My guess is that such confusion comes from the long development time. This game has been cooking for what feels like a very long time, and for it still not to be finished seems a bit odd to me. Not a big fan of the early access model, but cheers to all who are. I will most likely wait until it’s finished.

I agree...as hyped as I am for it...after watching some live streams on it...I'm gonna wait until it's done cooking...too much mid to end game content is missing...giving all these streamers even earlier access than the early access release...is a double edge sword...it turned me off unfortunately...

This is just another of those doom and gloom videos that is trying to play on peoples feelings for buying early access games. People should buy it when it comes on release.
