Excellent and informative review. Could it be the case that you simply got a bad unit? Have you spoken to Timex about the concerns that you spotlight? It is a nice looking watch.

Absolutely could be that there are lots of units out there without issues. However with the one I got it wasn’t one single thing, it was multiple items that compounded and should have been easily caught during the QC process.

I thought your video title was click bait, I was going in preparing to defend the watch (because i like the look), but those quality control issues are unacceptable. Not out of line for timex though, I had a one with an actual typo on the dial.

most of issues are not important . The strap is not suitable for a diver look watch ,so can be changed with a rubber or a nato strap that will match more . Actually i think although this watch is based on the classic diver look , it has some unique touches .

I have this watch, and I must say I wear it gladly. Mine came on a good steel bracelet (for the price) and the quality control issues were not applicable to my watch. It looks like you got a bad watch (unfortunately). I enjoyed your review though.

It’s good to know that yours arrived well! It very well could be that I got the short stick on the draw. If there was just one issue on mine, I could probably let it slide but having so many quality control issues from a large brand that’s been doing this for a LONG time isn’t really acceptable.

At that price point, just get an Orient

Non-hacking seconds, what's the problem? Do people really want to exactly set their analogue watch? Even when it's 15 seconds off after a day? Use a digital watch if you need precise time reading.

This is disappointing, because I've lusted after this model when seeing it pop up on the used market. I suppose for $100 CAD it wouldn't be a bad purchase, and I like your comparison to something in the Seiko 5 Sports lineup, or possibly even more affordable, Orient's impressive diver line. Like the Seiko 5 Sports, this watch only provides 100 meters of water resistance, which is decent enough for most non-diving applications, and I like that it's only 40-mm across, although its 48-mm lug-to-lug make it significantly larger on the wrist for smaller guys like me. The lume paint issue is really a turn-off, because that's something not easily fixed, but being a Seiko fan, I'm already used to bezel inserts that don't line up, let alone chapter rings that can't be fixed, plus of course terrible straps that might not be this bad, but are pretty well unwearable. I might still pick one up on the used market, but I'll check the indices closely thanks to your review. Much appreciated!

Timex is trying to move into Seiko territory- looks like unsuccessfully

Looks like they're totally matching Seiko in the Bezel alignment stakes!!!

you want a 2000$ quality in a 200$ watch? wake up man!

Lots of watches in this price range don’t have QC issues like this. Don’t have to step up to a $2k watch to avoid basic issues.

dive watch without screw down crown 🤦🤦🤦no thank you.
@AlexP5150Ай бұрын
actually most of dive watches are 'dive look' watches . The strap tells that also .

@@AlexP5150 i mean a Casio 49$ duro can give you screw down, why can't these 100-200$ watches? what is holding them back
