Just got email from Timex advertising this watch. One of the coloured versions now on my maybe list. Appreciate the review, some pros and cons to think about. I recently picked up their LCA digital Q reissue, really liking it :)

I like the return of the internal bezel and of the compressor style in general. The problem with Timex is that they never use sapphire glass. Any watch that has domed crystal needs sapphire.

They use it in very rare circumstances (like the Giorgio Galli S1) but I do wish they would use it more often. It really isn't that much more expensive production wise and they could just charge a bit more!

@@JustWatches1 exactly. I can buy sapphire crystals aftermarket for $70. Would cost the manufacturer maybe $30 at the factory, and installation costs would be the same. But for me, installing a crystal means either sending it to somebody and paying for work and shipment, or investing in a press and time to do it myself. Plus the watch needs to be opened. At that point, I'll buy a Seiko instead.

Somebody who wants an actual tool watch rather than jewelry. It is not for me because I can't stand skeleton hands (people with astigmatism understand). However, I can see why someone would buy it.
