Key wiring fact is that rear cam activation comes from the reversing light feed and that the camera cable includes a separate red trigger wire to bring the on off signal back up to the radio. You DONT have to look for wiring harness wires under the dash..

This radio is fantastic for the price. 30$ish. Everything worked great. After about 6 months the right rear channel cut out so i wired it to the front right. Other that that, a year and half later it's amazing and if it breaks i will get another.

Total all stations search and Retune cycle is quite lengthy.. just wait till it finishes.. maybe a full couple of minutes.. but it WILL find every station in range… wait for it to finish before starting to press and hold the (virtual) buttons at the bottom of the screen. There are three pages of stations.. 1, 2 and 3. Works well and volume is excellent

BTW I havent had any overheating problems… However we are in cool and damp Ireland. It isnt affected by damp😏

Nick, I am wondering if you still have yours. do you listen to radio (FM)? I found the reception quality absolutely horrible.

@ I get great FM.. The secret seems to be to press autosearch (top right hand corner AS) and then wait about 3 minutes without pressing any buttons for the stations to be found and automatically logged. The radio will come back automatically on after it has finished searching. Dont be tempted to help it by pressing buttons !! ☺️

Hi, I'm also impressed with your positive comments, the reverse psicology used here is very effective. I think if you have no bugs in the manufacturing process, the nice LCD, the capacitive touch bottons, finally more reliable than a normal pulse switchs and others, really do a good deal. I was looking for a replacement for my Pioneer Mixtrack, which sounds very good but has no a Bluetooth function. I hope that the SNR will be acceptable.

Yeah, mine worked like a boss for 18 Months then it started overheating + randomly switching off....I'm brick scared to use it now in case the whole dash goes up, along with the car!

Thanks for the long rant. After a week, the touchscreen went out. Couldn’t turn the volume up or down at all. So, it worked for a few days and I had to return it. If you’re offended by this video, maybe you’re the problem.

Can you turn the display off while your still playing music? The brightness even dimmed from these things absolutely wreck my eyes driving at night. I almost prefer complete black with a very dim HUD on the windshield and that's it.

So just curious why you say "Do NOT buy this stereo" but then everything points to you really liking the stereo and that you feel its a good deal. Is there something that I am missing that would make this a terrible buy? I just had one in my cart and I am thinking about buying one. I am not an audiophile just want something that will allow me to hook up a small amp and speakers for loud but not bass deafening earth shattering sound. I like the touch screen and from what I can tell it seems to be a nice looking device. Any input or update would be great, thank you in advance.

+Eric Crook so my first one failed within a week. Touchscreen stopped working completely and the volume knob wouldn’t work. They sent me a new unit and so far it has been acceptable. But I worry about the long term with this one. It is a nice looking stereo and it sounds great and so far the new one has been working well for over a month. However, if it decides to stop working like the first one I am out that money. I am tempted to just buy a nice Pioneer or Kenwood and be done with it or even go back to the $16 Dual that I had. Once a product has failed me and especially within the first week, I get very skeptical and weary. So my recommendation is, take this advice and use it how are you want. It’s a nice radio if it’s working but if it stops working after a couple months, I am out my money.

I have to ask, How is you replacement stereo (replacement for this one) working? You surely have swapped it out for a Pioneer or JVC by now... Mine died within a month. Upon first installing it, the screen would randomly blank out for about 10 seconds at a time. It would work for 5 to 30 seconds, and blank out again.. At night this got annoying having something flashing off & on at random, so I had to keep the screen turned off. Mine sounded like hammered shit. The audio was tinny and shallow. Bass? What bass? Volume? Just keep it maxxed out to hear over road /engine noise. And then it had the sound quality of a small bluetooth speaker. And that was with new 50 watt, 4-ohm speakers.that I bought specifically to match this units output. The touchscreen if "meh" if you have baby-fingers, otherwise I couldn't hit anything unless I pulled over and intently focused on hitting the EXACT tiny spot needed. Again, IF the screen was even working at the moment. I never bothered installing the camera since it had clearly visible spaces for water to get in. And again, what's the point if the screen goes out when backing up? FM Presets? Don't bother! Mine just factory reset every time I changed input. And reception was staticy at best. After a month the screen was permanently dead. Maybe I got a bad one, but I just cut my losses and installed a 60 dollar Pioneer from Walmart. No remotes or backup cam but at least it works. For those asking: The Steering wheel remote is installed by taking the two TINY screws out of the strap part to reveal a velcro fastener. But you might as well just hold it since that's exactly what you'll do. If you try to press a button on the remote, the thing just rotates around the rim of the steering wheel. You have to hold it from behind with a finger while pressing buttons with your thumb. The MicroSD slot plays audio MP3 AND video MP4 files. But it a nonsensical order.. There is NO order! Same with the USB jacks. The V-out jack is for an external screen. (Like a small TV in a Van etc..)

Haha, yes this radio is full of s~+t. Had mine for a month in the car. After countless scratching my head how bad it performed (radio reception practically non-existing, bluetooth hands-free microphone sound absolutely miserable, spurious re-connection issues when playing BT music) I finally ripped it out. The UI was pleasant, to bad it is hardware-wise simply not a worthwhile head unit.
