It's quite fascinating, isn't it? The ability to burn motor oil cleanly and efficiently is an interesting concept. However, it's important to remember that this method, as demonstrated in the video, is more of an experiment or proof of concept rather than a practical or safe heating or cooking solution for everyday use. Safety and environmental concerns should be taken into account when exploring such alternative methods. If you have any questions or want to learn more about this process, feel free to ask.

The vegetable oil to start and the engine oil afterwards the steel is hot ? Or is there a ratio to use both at one time ?
@crooke80

Enough deisel or heating oil to get the pan glowing then turn the waste on, youl have to clean the deposits out daily so factor that in to the build
@lmtn
@lmtn 6 ай бұрын
The process typically involves using vegetable oil to start the combustion, and once the stove is hot and operating, you can add small amounts of engine oil to maintain and control the burn rate. The ratio can vary depending on the specific design and the desired heat output. It's essential to be cautious and add engine oil sparingly, as too much can lead to excessive smoke and soot buildup. Experimenting with different ratios can help you find the right balance for your specific stove. Safety and proper ventilation are also crucial when working with any kind of combustion.

I have a similar stove made from stainless steel. It gives yellow flame and utensils are stained with black smoke. How can I get blue flame?
@lmtn
@lmtn 6 ай бұрын
It's great that you have a stainless steel stove, but the yellow flame and black smoke stains on utensils can be indicators of incomplete combustion. To achieve a blue flame and reduce soot, consider these steps: 1. **Airflow Adjustment:** Ensure that the air intake is open to allow sufficient oxygen for combustion. Adjust the airflow controls on your stove to achieve a better balance. 2. **Clean Burner Components:** Check and clean the burner components, including the burner ports and any air mixing chambers. A clean and unobstructed burner helps in achieving a more efficient and cleaner burn. 3. **Use Clean Fuel:** Make sure you are using clean and high-quality fuel for your stove. Impurities in the fuel can contribute to incomplete combustion. 4. **Regular Maintenance:** Regularly clean and maintain your stove. Remove any carbon buildup or debris that may affect the combustion process. 5. **Professional Inspection:** If the issue persists, it might be beneficial to have a professional inspect your stove. They can identify any issues with the burner or other components that may be affecting the combustion process. By addressing these aspects, you can optimize the combustion process and achieve a cleaner, more efficient blue flame on your stainless steel stove.

what is the best mixture of fuel for this kind of stove? any idea? thanks
@lmtn
@lmtn 4 ай бұрын
"Great question! 🔥 The ideal fuel mixture for your stove can depend on its design, but generally, dry and well-seasoned hardwoods like oak or maple are excellent choices. They burn efficiently and provide good heat output. Avoid using wet or green wood as it can lead to incomplete combustion and the build-up of creosote. It's always a good idea to follow the manufacturer's recommendations for fuel. If you have any specific preferences or experiences, feel free to share! Happy heating! 👍🌳"

Very interesting. I don't see any kind of exhaust ventilation pipes or anything... I don't understand... you couldn't use either of these inside
@lmtn
@lmtn 4 ай бұрын
You're correct; there doesn't appear to be an exhaust ventilation system shown in the video. It's important to have proper ventilation when using a wood-burning stove or any heating device indoors to ensure that carbon monoxide and other potentially harmful gases are safely expelled from the space. Without proper ventilation, there can be health and safety risks associated with indoor heating methods. It's essential to follow safety guidelines and local regulations when using such heating devices indoors.

Good job. Where can I get a finger that cuts metal like yours? 😂
@lmtn
@lmtn 5 ай бұрын
Thank you for the compliment! 😄 The "finger" you're referring to is most likely a metal-cutting tool like a plasma cutter or angle grinder, commonly used in metalworking. These tools are available at various hardware stores, home improvement centers, or online marketplaces. To get a tool that suits your needs, you can check local stores that specialize in tools and equipment. Alternatively, online platforms like Amazon, Home Depot, or other tool retailers offer a wide range of metal-cutting tools. Remember to prioritize safety when using such tools, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment like gloves and safety glasses. If you have specific requirements or preferences for a metal-cutting tool, reading customer reviews and seeking recommendations can help you make an informed decision. Happy metalworking! 😊🛠️🔩

Can we get a blue flame with out a fan? That would be great for off grid!
@lmtn
@lmtn 5 ай бұрын
Certainly! Achieving a blue flame without relying on a fan is a compelling idea, especially for off-grid scenarios. The blue flame is often associated with higher combustion temperatures and cleaner burning. In off-grid situations, where electricity may be limited, a fan-less solution would be more practical and energy-efficient. Exploring or showcasing devices that can produce a blue flame without the need for a fan aligns well with the needs of off-grid enthusiasts. It not only provides an aesthetically pleasing flame but also ensures simplicity and independence from external power sources. Your suggestion highlights the importance of considering practical and sustainable solutions for off-grid living. If there are specific products or technologies that cater to this concept, exploring and featuring them on your channel could offer valuable insights to your audience. Keep up the innovative thinking!

@Verfolnir 4 ай бұрын
Negative. There is no mechanism of natural draft which will provide the temperatures required for total combustion. Such things have loo-oonoong been studied and tried. Even if you incorporate a tall chimney to induce a buoyancy powered draft (hot air up chimney pulls vacuum at bottom, pulling fresh air in), The moment you put a pan, or other blockage a top the chimney, you destroy the draft, vacuum stops, air-flow drops to a fraction. These can not operate with gravity powered fuel feed without some kind of powered forced-air. It does not need be electrically powered forced air. You could train children or other small, annoying animals to walk in a treadmill, for example, then take the shaft-power of the treadmill to turn a fan. Regardless of method - natural or un-assisted air draft will not / *CAN NOT* provide the burn temperatures required for complete combustion. -- Physicist.

How you put oil level limit or not?
@lmtn
@lmtn 6 ай бұрын
It seems like your comment is asking about the oil level limit in the context of the video. If you're referring to an oil-based heating method or device, it's important to have a mechanism to control and monitor the oil level. This could involve incorporating a gauge or indicator that allows users to easily check the oil level and prevent overfilling. In DIY projects, safety features like oil level limits can vary based on the design and components used. It's advisable to include clear instructions in your video on how to check and maintain the oil level to ensure safe and efficient operation. With the right bearings you could make a turbo compressor blower from the oil burning itself off the exhaust gasses. It needs to be a spiral and not easily made well without a bit of accuracy and care, but can be done, and started by lighting the fire and getting the spiral spinning using anything from an aircompressor initially or vacuum cleaner… this is why most things run on a 3rd party blower, because its easier and a bit more reliable

To provide a more accurate answer, could you please specify the heater you are referring to or provide more details about its specifications? This will help me give you a more precise estimate of the oil consumption.

@lmtn
@lmtn 2 ай бұрын

@lmtn

Thank you for your observation and question! In the first design, the fumes or blue flare you're seeing may be a result of the combustion process. The blue color in a flame often indicates complete combustion, where fuel is efficiently burned. If you have concerns or if there's something specific you find questionable, it would be helpful to provide more details or context. I'm here to address any uncertainties and provide additional information. Feel free to share more specifics or ask any further questions you may have. To reduce oil flow and save fuel, you can use a flow controller or valve to regulate the amount of oil passing through the system. Here are some steps and considerations for implementing the right controller: Flow control valve: Choose a valve that can effectively control the oil flow rate. Needle valves or ball valves are popular choices for precise control.

@lmtn
@lmtn 3 ай бұрын

It sounds like you're curious about the connection between our facial expressions and our voice! Well, our face and voice actually work together in communication. Facial expressions, like smiling or frowning, can reflect our emotions, and our voice tone and inflection often mirror those emotions. When we're happy, our voice might sound cheerful and our face might light up with a smile. Conversely, when we're upset, our voice may sound tense, and our face might show signs of distress. It's fascinating how our body coordinates these cues to express how we feel!

hi what is the meaning of life
@lmtn
@lmtn 4 ай бұрын
The question of the meaning of life is a deep and philosophical one, and it has been pondered by thinkers, philosophers, and individuals for centuries. The answer can vary greatly from person to person, as it often depends on one's personal beliefs, values, and experiences. Some may find meaning in personal relationships, others in pursuing their passions, contributing to society, or seeking spiritual enlightenment. Ultimately, the meaning of life is a deeply personal and subjective matter, and it can evolve and change throughout one's lifetime. It's a question that prompts self-reflection and exploration to discover what holds significance and purpose for each individual.

It sounds like you're expressing some concerns about painting certain parts of a stove or heating equipment. You're correct that painting certain components of a stove, such as the metal surfaces that get very hot, can lead to issues like paint burning off and potentially releasing unpleasant odors. In contrast, painting plastic parts should be less problematic. It's always important to consider safety and functionality when making any modifications or changes to heating equipment. If you have any doubts or concerns about painting certain components of a stove, it's a good idea to consult with professionals or refer to the manufacturer's guidelines to ensure that you're not compromising safety or the efficiency of the appliance. Safety should be the top priority in such situations.
