Ok, I bought the maker 3 when it first came out and I did a sample cut a yr ago and nothing since ( the joy too, already had a scan n cut sit on the shelf gather dust for yrs 😂). I've watch alot of vids but haven't applied anything. It's not rocket science, it's just that work has kept me too busy. Now I no longer work and have the time! I've watched so many instructors until I've gotten 'analysis paralysis.' HOWEVER....I REALLY like your approach and I can follow you without getting bored aft 10 min!!! (not knock all the others bec many of the others are really good too). I'm EXCITED to fin start using my machine! thx u

Thank you for this Michael! I'm early in the video. I'm no longer a "newbie" but I'm always interested in learning the craft and you're one of my favorite tutors. I have to say, I probably tell newbies every day "jump into the shallow end of the pool and learn the craft, then you can move to the deep end - I don't advise you jumping into the deep end and getting totally frustrated". Most people seem to appreciate that advice. Feel free to use the phrase if you'd like.

Hello from Victoria BC Canada. Loved this tutorial. I've had my cricut maker for a couple years and just used for the first time this past Christmas. That Access membership has been awesome for me. It's not expensive, and i have a photo editor app that allows me to make stickers and save them as PNG files (and it has a better background removal function than the Cricut app does). I can make ANYTHING with these two apps combined. Not just that, but Access membership gives me INCREDIBLE exclusive discounts on all kinds of Cricut products. I love it. I'm sure it's not for everyone, but it's definitely for me! Thank you for another great video! It's awesome to check out beginner tutorials because with such a versatile machine, I often find in these tutorials things I might have missed or even just completely forgotten about! Saw a cricut hack where someone just cuts out the entire design on HTV. There are a few other items I wanted to buy a cricut for. so this was honestly a very helpful video because it didnt just go over 1 topic. Thanks for a great tutorial Micheal! I have a question hopefully you or someone can answer, I downloaded an image off of DesignBundles and for some reason my layers are not broken down. It is the word Love (in a square and the O is a Heart in Red) the rest of the word is in Black. Can someone help me? The only way I can get it to work is if I go in to “Contour” and shade out what needs to be shaded. Can someone help me? Thanks in advance! 😊
@mrcraftypants9 ай бұрын
Hey James! Thanks so much for watching! As for that image, it sounds like the design would have to have at least 2 layers. 1 for the black and 1 for the red. If all of the black is one single layer and you want to break that up into additional colors, then contour is really the only option for that.

@@mrcraftypants Thanks So Much Micheal. Ohh ok. I’m still getting familiar with everything. And just getting discouraged, cause when I see you do things and go to different tabs on DesignSpace my program doesn’t seem to have the same thing. It’s really weird. I’m using Windows which In some of your videos that you have done projects that I wanted to try don’t seem to be the same. And just very confused and again getting discouraged. I’ll try the Contour and see what happens. If I continue to still have issues or if I can email what the image is that would help me out to explain. I just wish there was classes I can attend to learn and interact with a group or one on one. But Thanks for your reply I really appreciate it and love your videos! 😊

#replaysquad Thank you, Michael. I was able to finish watching after my class. The video was amazing! Full of tips and educational information presented in a very entertaining and understandable manner! Loved all the pop-up "highlighted content notes" and little inserted video clips. They brought my attention immediately to the content being presented and kept me engaged throughout the tutorial! You are a very motivational and knowledgeable instructor. Almost everything I've learned about how to use my Cricut have been from your tutorials. Thank you! ❤❤❤❤❤❤

So here's my comment About cricket as About cricket as well. I think their machines are great like you said, but I don't buy none of their vinyl unless I absolutely have to. But I do like some of their tools. But I like the fact that you're. Showing her stuff, that's not cricket brand. Cause I've had my cricket for years At least my Maker. And I'm still not savvy with all of the features and stuff so I have to usually ask how to do something when it comes time for me to do something I want to do I usually just make stuff for myself.
