Mission succeeded, but result failed. I've had her get to season 2 and a half in TCW, and that was months ago, and it even took half a year to get her there. It's such a damn chore for her, but oooooooooohh shes got NO HESITATION to show interest in the Ahsoka show, man I wonder why.. Oh cuz its live action and she doesnt want to sit through the last 5 and a half seasons she has left... because its animated. EVEN THOUGH I have in fact given her a little shortened up watchlist, as shortened up as humanly canonically possible consisting of ALL essential episodes for all our major characters, which would subtract that down to basically her having about maybe 4 or 4 and a half seasons left. She still cba. I haven't even considered egging her to watch Rebels either, if TCW is such a chore for her, I'm not even gonna bother with Rebels. I would only hope that if she finished TCW, she would've liked it so much and would no longer need me to hold her hand constantly reassuring her that it gets better, and just take the initiative and watch Rebels without me having to ask. What is with women and their empty promises man :/ There's actually more to it and something I mean by empty promises, but I've already made this long enough.

I eventually got through them, but the animation does make it much harder for me. Rebels more so because of the art style. If it were straight up Japanese Anime style, I couldn't have watched it for even 5 minutes.

To be fair a series should stand on its own. The intro of characters in a new series (which is how this is marketed) should entice viewership of the cartoons, but not be a pre-requisite. Live action isn’t animation.

True that!! Clone wars starts maybe a little slow, but each season just keeps getting better. There is no harm for once that we know where it ends, its just so well written and brought to life. The fact that they made S7 years after it's original ending and it still kept getting better, with a perfect switch into RotS... Nearly immaculate. Rebels was good to, maybe not as consistent, but the Thrawn story, Maul getting some more screen time and moments like Ahsoka meeting/ fighting Vader the first time gives this its own right to stand next to the best. Clons Wars especially probably the best SW content that exists.

I like how he mentioned the animation aspect. I remember watching some of TCW when I was younger, but I didn't get the bigger picture. About 5-6 months ago I wanted to watch TCW, but didn't know if I could get past the animation over live film. It turns out that the animated series are more entertaining, at least in my opinion. I watched Rebels right after (It's not TCW, but it's still pretty good). If you like Star Wars, but don't like animated shows or movies I still highly recommend watching TCW if you haven't already. It definitely brings the most out of Star Wars and makes certain events from the movies even more tragic.

Only people who REALLY know Ahsoka from the animated side should watch Ahsoka because if they dont: Ahsoka can bomb before it is even finished. @@Deity_devil no because most people wanted to see Ahsoka in live action after already seeing her grow up in animated for so many years. It was time. Seeing something in live-action from animated, for most people, is basically what they need in order to fully accept something as canon. Not saying that all live-action is canon, because there is certainly no sequels. But of course the animated shows such as Clone Wars and Rebels has been officially canon forever now, but its a thing with people's psyche that seeing something in live-action as the norm like everything else is in Star Wars, that's what makes them feel satisfied and think "Okay, so its officially live action now finally, that means everything that this character has gone through during the animated arc, is also canon." Like come on, you can't tell me you wouldn't watch the Clone Wars if they remade it all into live-action, you can't say you wouldn't watch it lol, you'd be lying to yourself. Everyone who loves Star Wars would die to see the amazing special effects they could do in TCW on top of the vibrant storytelling that is already there in live-action. Plus yknow on top of that, Ahsoka's show wasn't officially in the works until Book of Boba Fett was announced, while before that, Ahsoka already had her first live-action appearance in Mandalorian season 2 as a full fledged grown up and wise 45 year old full potential Ahsoka Tano. It would've been a little dumb if we finally saw her in live action for the first time but only time, while the actress Rosario in fact does a phenomenal job with the character in live action, but then they give us her own show except they just put her back into animation again. Think it through.
