Well, I watched it and I haven't ridden a bicycle in 40 -45 years. It was like hanging out with my brother, in Dad's garage, fixing our bikes. So we could get out there and find more mischief to get into.

I remember those days, submerging inner tube in a sink of water looking for bubbles if your attention wanders finding your thumb stuck to the tube etc

Tubes are always entertaining, bit I still prefer fixing a tube to risking tubeless.

That happened on my brand new rolhoff wheel with an andra 30 rim, sharp edges around the valve 😲.

It's a pain isn't it

Had the same inner tube problem while on holiday in France but it was more of a split around the valve rubber. A combination of old tube and possibly too much air pressure resulted in a quick deflation while riding across uneven ground. Tube was unrepairable so was a long walk back to the village 😔

Was it on that long walk home you remembered to always pack a spare? I still remember as an 8 year old being told off by my older brother for going a long way on my bike without a puncture kit! As a result I always over pack tools now as a result!

You have to get your LHT working properly and ride it. To my shame I also have an LHT, same colour frame and 26", that I bought brand new very cheaply, still in it's box which I had grand plans for which for various reasons haven't happened. Life gets in the way. Too many bikes and not enough time to ride them all. You have a nice bike collection. Liking the Yuba cargo bike. I would have replaced the rear tyre though. In my experience when tread gets that low or non existent that's when punctures start plus also loss of grip especially in wet conditions which can end badly.

The LHT is possibly my Achilles heel, I know I should love it but for some reason I can't figure I don't it's weird. Don't get me wrong I do like it but to ride I prefer my old cheap Ridgeback hybrid. 🤫. I have a new tyre for the cargo bike, but I'm determined to get it 'through to the blue' before I swap it, just like when we were kids! Threadbare before changing. I'm curious to see how much further it'll go.

@@maryandsam2 I know what you mean about your LHT. I have a couple of bikes like that. I should get rid of them as I seldom ride them. However I have an old Trek 7500 Multitrack that I bought new back I don't know when, 25 years ago, but when I ride it now, which isn't often, it just feels so good like putting on an old comfortable pair of gloves or shoes that still fit and are in good condition. I've bought numerous bikes since, but when I ride it I think why, why did I need any other bikes? But of course I did. I have newer bikes that I cherish just as much. I used to wear tyres right down to the threads but I found I started getting a punctures. I had some old Specialised Armadillos 700 x28c on my Sirrus hybrid which were seriously worn. In one week I had 14 punctures in the rear tyre. I wasn't able to put a new one on as I was working long days and had a long ride to and from work and it was winter as well with crap weather making for a miserable week! Now I never let tyres get so worn again. But at this point I also switched to Schwalbe as no other tyre manufacturer has the same level of puncture protection.

@@alexmorgan3435 it sounds silly but racing pedal cars taught me a lot about schwalbe tyres, pedal cars absolutely shred tyres! (2 or 3 sets of tyres in a 24hr race (400 miles))The schwalbe tyres outlasted everything else and would run for quite a while, they would be replaced when the puncture protection was fully showing through, at that point we would still manage to avoid punctures. People say they are a 'dead' tyre because they are so heavyweight but I'll always take reliability over sporty any day.

Sam, I'm 6' 2"", will the Courier fit me? Kind regards, Henry.

Hi Henry, it probably would, infact almost certainly, my dad will be using it for a while now. But I'll try and remember and offer it to you first if (and when) I sell it.
