Do Only 'Leftover' Thai women Date Foreign Men?

If these are the leftover women, I can't imagine how sweet, kind, funny and smart the non-leftover women are. Every woman here that I have interacted with for more than 2 minutes has been superior to 98% of the women I ever met over the decades in the states. They were clearly raised to be kind and thoughtful. Whether it be hospital workers, tourism or retail staff or bar girls, all that I have met come across as happy and well intentioned. When I see Thai women interact with each other or Thai men, and they don't know that anyone is watching them, I observe that they treat each other well. *I don't see any of the competitiveness or hatefulness* that I saw 24/7 in the US. What a difference!

Excellent points, especially the part where you talked about women who can speak English. I have been going to Thailand for more than 20 years and almost every "farang" believes that a woman who speaks even basic English automatically works, or has worked in the sex industry, which I think is completely absurd. However, English is an international business language, so it is completely absurd to draw conclusions based on ones language skills. I'm not much of a drinker myself and I'm not interested in bars, nightlife, etc., but more in local culture, food, etc. Anyone equipped with common sense will notice very quickly whether someone is interested in you or only in what they can get out of you. Well, this turned in to a some sort of a bible 😂 Any suggestions on where I should look for accommodation there? My first time in Chiang Mai. The fewer farangs and bars, the better 😂

I agree with your assessment, except you meet Issan where they take care of family I see this as a job, she has dark skin, she has features that might be traditional beauty for Thai man. Her family is not rich they farm in Issan shebuse dating app due to lack of men in her village. Has degree but left Bangkok due to covid and decided rather take care of family than go back and work for bad Thai wages versus expenses. She is one of the most honest woman I have ever met to a fault. Feel lucky if they consider this left over. Because I feel blessed American.

When a woman gets over a certain age, everyone will probably be a left over, if they haven't just gotten out of a relationship. You can easily choose a "left over", as long as the person fits the requirements and wishes you have set up from home. Don't make the plan in a bar in Thailand after paying for 3 lady drinks :)

Your definition of ‘leftover women’ is based all around their circumstances. Things like job, education and children . That doesn’t bother me too much and I think that’s probably true for a lot of older western men. I’m really only interested in her personal qualities, even though I have a privileged background myself. So yes, if Thai men don’t want these women, then they’ll come to us because they know we want them.

Most educated thai women who are financially independent are simply not interested in a foreigner. Why would they be? What can you offer them? Cultural and communication concerns dating a foreigner would be viewed as an embarrassing to the family and lowering their social status

Nobody is "financially independent" in Thailand except 10% of Thai men and 1% of Thai women. And most of these people are probably Chinese-Thai. The people working 9-5 jobs, women's jobs in offices or sales, they still earn peanuts. They can feed themselves and afford domestic travel but these women could never support a family or have kids themselves without another person's income. Education literally means nothing. If someone got a Thai university degree that means zero, unless they picked something with somewhat internationally competitive salaries like computer science (all men) or engineering (also all men). The Thai girls who got "educated" and did an English, teaching, business, or psychology degree go and get jobs that earn $400-$500 per month after. Haha. And they have to put in a lot of hours typically, they're still waiting for a man to rescue them. The exception is if their father is a rich Thai-Chinese guy with a factory.
