I did a mixture of this before. The tutorial shows clearly how important it is to have some space between the branches with leaves. I might also improve some of the trees on the picture that I'm painting now. Danke für die einfache Erklärung :)

Yes I'm definitely going to try it because I just acquired some acrylics and brushes. I know how to sketch very well but have never painted. This gives me the confidence to at least try.

Hi. You have made it look so simple, very informative especially the depth of the foliage with all the different tones. I stopped painting in 1971 after I dropped out of high school. Now I'm 70 years and I bought a lot of brushes,paints etc. I cannot wait to get cracking. I'm definitely going to improve my art with your tutorials. ❤

Apparently I'm doing the tree trunk right but the leaves not so much. But there were times I did it right simply because my instinct feels that's the right way to achieve what I'm aiming for. Thanks John. Now I want to do a repeat of some of my previous works.

I always kind of got the main trunk but then I couldn't get the way to branch out, it looked like an octopus was fighting its way out of a tree stump. This has been the best tutorial I saw ( obviously I did a lot of the Don't Do stuff) so this message is to thank you for sharing your talent . I painted a tree last night that my daughters actually praised ( and gave you credit, obviously!)
