+1d0ntc4r3 that is an incredibly myopic view on skipping classes. In some majors, such as engineering, learning the theoretical side of a field is far different from the practical applications of it in the real world.

Tip Number 1 for working students: Know how to prioritize your academic commitments. For example, if you have a really difficult mid-term coming up for a core class around the same time as a quiz for a less important elective class, *focus on the mid-term*. Ideally you'll want to study for both, but shit happens. If you have to skip out on that quiz to ace that far more important mid-term, then so be it. This is literally how I made it through my senior year while working a full-time job.

No, don't buy a Bluetooth speaker, nobody cares about your music or what your playing. Invest in some headphones instead
@davidngo58659 жыл бұрын
the Bluetooth speaker isn't for playing the music out loud in public for the people to hear persay, rather it is used to enhance the volume of the user's laptop

1. My favorite college tip: This tip is very generic but I lived through 4 years of undergrad and I can also attest to this. Join a campus club that involves a topic that interests you. Dedicate time and energy to that club! If you're a flaky member then you're not going to meet new people. That's why it's important to find your interest in a club and become an active member. You can't fool yourself. You'll know what club will be interesting for you :) 2. My favorite college gadget: Laptop for KZbin, honestly. Almost a basic necessity but I don't know what I would have done for all those years sitting in my dorm room. That's also why I joined a campus club to keep busy and have fun, and also to learn outside of the classroom.

@CatGreenfield9 жыл бұрын
OR, see if you can check them out of a library! Renew it as many times as they'll let you, but honestly, the late fees for the entire semester are usually STILL less than the cost of the book. And, it's very unlikely anyone else needs it… most people don't think to check textbooks out of the library. ;)
@shinjid37059 жыл бұрын
+Cat Greenfield Our library doesnt offer many books that we normally have to buy. For the example the finance book. That shit costs like 350€ and I dont see why I should pay this amount for a book. So I just download it from the internet.

Personal Tip(s): (1)Always email professors or TAs if you need help, all of my professors responded quickly and were all helpful. (2)Seek outside sources for help (like KZbin, internet) but do not use that in replacement of lectures. (3)Do not be afraid to follow your dreams and passion, explore different fields of studies and whatever you do- do it with ambition!! If you're not enjoying your major, maybe you should try something else! (4)Be cheerful and happy :} . Favorite Gadget(s): (1)Invest in a killer backpack with super awesome compartments. (2)Pens, colorful pens. I am a personal fan of the G2 collection. (3)Get a bicycle and use it as your means of transportation AND exercise.

Being social and remember people's names. People tend to like you and even remember you a lot better when you're friendly and actually took the time to remember their name (especially when you're probably trying to remember 50 others). Gadget? Does Google Drive count? Probably not, but whatevs. If you're actually bringing you're laptop to class or work on computers already then USE GOOGLE DRIVE. You can take notes (and view them from any computer). You can save files. Make Power Points. etc. etc. My favorite part? Sharing Google Docs. My classmates and I share our notes in the classes we're in as well as for group projects. Don't you hate it when you miss what the professor said in class? Don't worry. Someone else got you!
