Lots of smiles here. Fairly simple choreography, but he keeps everybody moving. It will look complicated to a novice, but you learn it bit by bit in a class and have just as much fun in the class as at the hoedowns later. You can see the basic movement are pretty simple, arm turns, swings and walking forward. Ladies like a man who asks them to a dance and every lady is beautiful when she is smiling.

We’ve all been with your cousin though ❤ I jest obviously. When I was at primary school (6{or7} until 11 I think) we would do this together every spring, but it was not something that was continuously happening in senior school (11-16 years old) but I have done it again many times over on different occasions through university as well as returning to the same place in Wales after a friend was lost and we were remembering him with love and laughter and obviously a do-si-do your partner 🕺🏽

Charley V it's great fun! Kids love it and there are youth competitions they can get into if they really like it. Check around of Facebook to see if there are square dance clubs in your area. They're usually free or extremely low cost (maybe $5 at the door & bring a snack to share if you're so inclined). This is how I found my current square dance club and we have made many good friends and had so many enjoyable times dancing together. Our club has lots of people in all age groups except teens and I hope we can recruit more young people because there is so little healthy recreation in our area that isn't costly. I see your comment is from 3 years ago but if you haven't begun yet then start now. I'm sure your kids will love it! Best wishes

Hi, this song was on an "open Mic" show on a radio station. The radio station is long gone. But, it had another verse in it , " you can't ride in the wagon, one wheel's off and the axle's dragging". the verse was repeated 3 time. It was not the kids song. And, I can't find it anywhere. Do you know The Old Brass wagon with that verse ?
Yes, and she got right back in. The kind of dancing we do has lots of chances to get sorted again... and if someone goofs, that's part of the fun. In square dancing, as in life, it's the recoveries that count.
