Unfortunately, given how a good office job keeps getting more and more competitive to break into. The pressure to do well academically is not diminishing anytime soon. Parents aren't being kiasu for no reason - just look at how PSC scholars are fast-tracked, or at* most entry level jobs requirements. Doing very well, as early as possible, does give a huge boost

i am aware i am going to get back lash on this, atleast first step on easing stress in early childhood, Mother Tougue can be made optional, for most of us, it don't put rice on the table.

What kind of stupid, irresponsible logic is that? "Oh, you can't cope with how "good" it is here, you should be sent to an unstable warzone to know what it's truly like to be stressed." Firstly, that is an impossibly low bar to set for a "developed" society like ours. Lastly, such hubris will definitely bring forth our downfall.
