The issue is that people are looking at these buffs with current units in mind. It's obvious this will be more beneficial for future units, who are likely to synerygize with older units. I mean look at Ororon who'd work well in Taser comps. Or Chasca who can basically trigger multiple reactions at the same time as a DPS.

Even with current units in mind, people are looking at the wrong aspects. Yes, they likely won't be meta defining, but what they will do is close some gaps between meta and non-meta. Or, in other words, open up the design and team building space.

Even thr current units in mind get major improvement out of it. Sucrose and Kazuha especially, but a large one would be Yae who scales EM for her damage and would synergize well with Ororon. It also gives another path for Cyno, so he can go electrocharged teams, or you can go use Cyno in an overloaded team, and Yae would do additional damage in overloaded teams through higher overloads, and Kuki becomes more viable in electrocharged and overloaded teams.

Honestly for the amount of stuff you need to do to even get shatter, it should probably be 4 or 4.5 (also make it possible to trigger on bosses, maybe Hydro + Cryo = "frozen aura" + geo/big hits = shatter?

Well its quite obvious that Chasca was underperforming so rather than increasing her Numbers they decided to buff reactions, this could also be the case with incoming Natlan characters and who knows maybe we will get a specialised set for shatter/overload etc.

I really don't like how their idea of fixing or buffing the reactions is... increase its number. Yes, that's a form of buff, but it's not gonna like, magically make it good again. For an example, Superconduct isn't sought after since it's a niche reaction for Physical DPS. The number increase ain't goin' to make it all good all of a sudden. It would've been better if they had made Superconduct decrease DEF of enemies hit instead of Physical RES

Just OL and Shatter still have their issues. Shatter a lot of enemies/bosses immune and OL extremely limited in hit. Plus a lot of your top teams only have room for one between Kaz/Xil. Clorinde EC is the main one who can abuse them

Honestly, shatter is being held back by being a transformative reaction. If it was more like vape/melt, or quicken, i.e. it scales off attack as well as crit, it would be a better reaction. I imagine shatter would give larger single instances of damage with super conduct would be more consistent damage. Electro charged could be buffed to do more damage the more enemies are arced to. Super conduct could also reduce electro and cryo resistances, giving a niche in some interesting teams like super conduct-aggravate or frozen electro charged

There's a few nuances about the reactions that will make a huge difference for some units/teams even if its not relevant for everyone: - Superconduct buff is relevant for AoE, as it can damage twice simultaneously like Swirl. This brings it up to Overload/Burgeon damage level. There is some odd tech where you can force this on a single target. - Superconduct buffs Shatter, and both scale off EM. And Furina is one of the best buffers. So characters that can trigger those with teamwide EM buffs like Albedo and Sucrose as well as Physical teams will see a sizeable upgrade becoming pseudo-hybrid. - In reality, besides bosses, 90% of enemies are freezable. Including the Cryo Samachurl. - Electro Charged's ownership does go to the latest application, BUT Electro Charged triggers (and consumes aura) on app like Aggravate, so ownership doesn't matter with enough app. - Single target electro spreads to Wet enemies _without_ consuming aura (only consumes on the enemy who triggered it). If the problem is one character stealing the app form the EM carry, you can just use big AoE Hydro and single target Electro. Good for characters like Fischl, Sethos, Beidou. And, unironically, Electro MC. IDK about Overload tho. That's pretty sopt on. The big issue is not having enough app. Same reason everyone uses XL. Probably buffs for Overvape. Thundering Furry gon be OP tho.

I could have sworn i saw a vid explaining that everything can freeze (that isn't immune to cryo or hydro i guess). You apply hydro to a PMA, you then apply cryo to trigger freeze. It now has a freeze aura. Hit it with a claymore, and it causes shatter dmg. Also it would work on things like cryo resonance. I'll see if I can find a video on it. Sadly can't link anything prob.

The most important thing to note is that they are willing enough to change these multilplier every few years, which is great. Im looking forward to whatever New char this brings. Ororon and Chasca will Benefit from the ec buff, I hope if it turns out Iansan is an Overload dps, she might Benefit from that, Shatter maybe Citlali and so on. At least sounds fun.

All I've seen is people over hyping this reaction buffs when in reality it only makes these reactions go from complete ass to not so bad. it won't significantly increase the team DPS on most teams because you're not building EM in the first place. I see people glazing Childe/Ayato EC or Chev teams but they either forgot or don't even know how reactions work.

The Superconduct buff is what I am looking forward the most. I love slotting a Cryo character in Quicken/Aggravate teams, that way I get a funny extra DMG triggering Superconduct at the same time as Quicken and Aggravate. EM Razor team using c6 Diona instead of c6 Bennett will get some shatters. Razor, Nahida, Xingqiu, Diona to free up Bennett for another team. And then, Diona's c6 gives a massive EM buff to your onfielder while Razor is now able to hyperbloom + Shatter. Can also replace Nahida with Dendro Traveller if there's no Nahida. You're getting fridging to help preserve the dendro.

Instead of buffing the damage of the reaction, they should have focused more on the effects. Like having Superconduct shred Def or more Physical Res, having the Overload knockback made smaller and maybe apply Pyro, having Electro-Charged last longer or speed/ramp up its bounces, or being able to apply Shatter to bosses without freezing them or have them frozen for less time

I think a much more interesting question would be WHY they are doing this change, and why NOW? They are obviously trying to pull all reactions to a more equal power level, now that Dendro has outlived it's novelty. But I dare think that maybe they are preparing to finally introduce the already teased eights element in 6.0. They don't want the OG reactions to fall even further behind, but they also don't want these buffs to steal the limelight by introducing them at the same time. btw my prediction for the new element is "Cosmo" the element of the void, with the new reactions being: Cosmo + Anemo = Vacuum (swirl for cosmo, but it also sucks/groups enemies) Cosmo + Geo = Meteor (A much needed damging reaction to properly revitalize geo as an element) Cosmo + Cryo = ??? (I don't know what it would be, but cryo needs help, and 6.x will be Shneznaya/Tsaritsa time so it only makes sense)

i think theyre doing it now to make future characters more enticing lmao TT. they buffed swirl's multiplier right before kazuha dropped which contributed to making him more sought after. they dropped yae with EM multipliers and shinobu (who arguably had no usage at all upon release) right before dendro dropped to prep for dendro reactions. and theyre buffing EC bc ororon is ab to drop. i imagine the other reactions got buffed too bc future characters are going to utilize them in their kits.

It seems to me they decided to dethrone Hyperbloom and Burgeon, at least to some extent, to give more salience to new non-dendro characters they are going to release. The Shatter reaction buff will most probably boost Snezhnaya, well, future characters mostly, I believe (just speculation).

I tough about a team, based on the cocktail. Razor (EM build), nahida, yelan/xinqiu and diona C6/chonyun/kaeya/rosaria etc. This team can trigger hyperbloom, aggravate, superconduct and shatter, and the best part is that if the enemy can be frozen it can be compensated with more superconduct reactions. What do you think?

It’s too inconsistent due to needing 2u of cryo or hydro being are applied first, (I don’t remember which it’s been like three years since I tested this interaction) otherwise you proc melts or vaporizes.

Cryo is literally dying. First no reaction with dendro, then cryo characters aren't getting a rerun for years and now even reaction buffs bypass this element. RIP cryo ☠

its actually easy to have ownership on electro charged.. just use one electro em unit and 2 off field hydro and an anemo... this way hydro aura is consistent on enemy then when electro hit.. boom electro charged em.. its always better to have more hydro than electro in electro charged because.. hydro just stays alot long on enemies for some reason.
