I've been slowly stopping watching Aaron's videos and other KZbinrs who are against James Gunn or the new DCU. I'm trying to understand their perspectives, but it's been getting ridiculous, and I don't want to hear any negativity towards DC. I'm excited to see Superman next year, and great video, Slav. I'm probably more hyped to see the superman trailer than anybody else. But I'm of the mindset that we'll get the trailer when we get it. There's a lot of pressure for the trailer to be a banger. Trying to make the trailer the best it can possibly be is totally understandable.

Most films release their teaser trailers up to twelve months before. In my opinion superman should of being the first project in the dcu to be released not creature commandos that's gunns mistake and superman should of had a Christmas release not in the middle of july

@@richardsrc7966 they are trying to keep costs down as much as possible the longer he delays the trailer and people hype themselves up for it it is free marketing. Once you start paying to show trailers on TV and on the front of movies that's when the marketing spending starts. They know how to play the long game when it comes to marketing films especially if it's the first film under the studio. It's like when Marvel studios started before it became Disney owned. Ironman was make or break for the studio so they did everything as slow and as cheap as possible. Superman is the DCU Ironman if it fails everything goes belly up so it needs to maximize its money wisely

The Lincoln Lawyer TV Show charted on the Netflix charts and stayed there I believe for about 4 to 5 weeks. But while it didn't stay at #1 that long, it did however top the charts outside of Netflix, bringing in 1.6 billion views per minute. So now I've been waiting on that season 4 renewal announcement. They've been taking a bit longer to make that announcement. With Season 1 it was a month later and with season 2, it was a few weeks after. All of season 3 dropped on October 17th and yet it's December 10 and still no announcement. It makes wonder, are they really waiting for Christmas 🎄?

I'm not excited about the DCU or Superman at all, but I have to say that the film comes out in July. It's December now. The trailer is by no means late. I wouldn't have expected it to be out yet. Christmas would be the earliest I would think a teaser trailer might be out. And I wouldn't be surprised if the first trailer dropped at the Superbowl. There is such a thing as too early to begin marketing. And while I think things are being exaggerated and overblown, I do think that this film and the DCU could be doing a lot better. There are problems. And hype for Superman is by no means universal. Sometimes I wonder if Zaslav wants a failure so he can take a big write off.

We can all have different opinions on what the current state of affairs is with the DCU. I’m not on one side or the other. I’ve neither a Snyder-champion nor a Gunn yes-man. I just want entertaining adventures with cherished DC characters, some of whom I grew up with, others being more recent additions to the comic book mythos. It seems like fans on both sides are micromanaging their expectations and quibbling over trivial details more than ever before. I get it. Fans want the best, self-gratifying representations of their heroes. The box office results of SUPERMAN will land where they will. Go see it if you want to, don’t see it if you don’t. It’s a movie. Good movies fail. Bad movies surprise via fickle audience behavior. Please, people-no need to be mean and disrespectful to each other over something that’s merely fiction. Discuss, but be decent. Im a fan of both DC/Marvel with Superman always gonna be my #1 comic hero. Im optimistic for DCU, i dont want it to fail personally over a individual. MCU had 3 great phases of films & trying to improve i think now. Would be a nice break/perfect time for DC to get itself on track, moving forward.
