Fun & creative video for sure!! Always fun to see Simon. My mind visualizes haggis with yolk-y eggs, maybe some home fries too 🤗

Half way through and I was thinking 'please do not try and make haggis ice cream, please do not try and make haggis ice cream...' cue haggis ice cream. haha. Have to admire your commitment to a theme though.

I genuinely thought it might work! I'm probably too much of an edibility optimist haha .D

Whilst I’m a carnivore, I do LOVE veggie haggis (the McSween version is always the best) Although frankly, any haggis is good haggis!

I agree that the McSween veggie one is extremely close to the real meaty deal! (Almost makes me SUSPICIOUS)

Really enjoyed your culinary experiments with haggis! Haggis bolognese and pizza are worth a try! Yum!

I love haggis nachos! I know that the Cumberland Bar and White Hart both have haggis nachos and I make it myself with my Burns night leftovers!! Haggis ramen sounds delish!!

This was a fun video. As I was watching it I literally thought 'haggis ice cream would be mental', and then voila! How about a haggis fruit salad, mix it in with some pineapple, melon, oranges etc. Though I'm sure that'd be yuk too. Good video though, you clearly did a lot of research so nice one. When I was in Edinburgh for some couple of days a few yrs ago it didn't even occur to me to try haggis. Shame one me. I'll rectify that one day.

There's gonna be more opportunities to adopt the haggis lifestyle I'm sure! Haggis fruit salad though... PERHAPS NOT

So lucky to find it cheaply in your markets, of course. US it’s still banned, I get mine from a Scottish woman living in North Carolina who has a Frenchman making an “approved” version. Still pretty good. My kid loved haggis and ate it with every meal she could when we were in Scotland. She likes it mixed in mashed potatoes, in eggs. I bet it would be good in jjajangmyeon, although the sauce might be overpowering. I enjoy the cooking videos. Plus, Simon!

Haha, I knew you'd appreciate a Simon heavy video!! And haggis being hard to source... at least there's one more big thing to look forward to during your next trip! It's hard to see the travel romance in it with travel being as minimal as it is now but I still believe distance makes the love grow stronger for haggis! .D

The toasty and the ramen look like winners. Maybe followed by ice-cream and scotch but with some distance from the haggis 😆 Great video as always, thank you!

I think that is a good takeaway from this video.. haggis good, ice cream good, but let's keep them apart! .D

@@Kakibot Yes maybe an enforced exclusion zone around the Haggis. I think 5m would be reasonable but maybe 10m to be on the safe side :)

Ha! I found this fun to watch and enjoyed your combination ideas... 'sans' the last one. So funny when Simon took a swig from the bottle! Thanks Kakibot, as I found this video particularly refreshing for some reason. The toastie and those nachos looked so appetizing. Haggis is awesome! I'm hoping to buy a little one from a Scottish takeaway here in Toronto, Canada for Burns Night (fingers crossed). Happy New year to you both!

Glad you enjoyed it! What sort of meals does your local Scottish takeaway offer? Curious!!

@@Kakibot Hamish's Kitchen Restaurant has the usual chippy type of fan fare. Fish and chips, various burgers, meat pies, black pudding, mealie, haggis, mushy peas, buttered bread, etc. Most mains are deep fried of course!
