These are some serious wood splitters! Very good explanation as always Brock.

These and Wolfe Ridge splitters are tops in my mind. Both have excellent models, and compete well with one another. I like features on both makes.

Awesome video Brock. Wish we had more of a chance to visit at the show. It was busy! All the best.

There are splitters available between the ultra and 12-22

You could put the splitter on the top of a slope or build a platform to put it on. Then put your bins below it or build a chute on the slope so the wood would tumble or slide away from the machine. Nice video, thanks for sharing.

Very good video Brock. One of those machines would help us be more self sufficient. Who knows what might be coming down the pike. Pray for America and Israel! God is still in control and prayer changes things!

2228 is counterproductive. The smaller units allow for more precise sizing. They make you handle the split wood immediately and place it into the storage bin. You are using your muscles in a non-repetitive manner. Can you imagine placing all the lumber you split with the 2228 continuously bending over and over non-stop to load your bins and stack properly. So Fatiguing. Sounds goods, but no thanks.

That’s why I stack into totes that sit on at least two pallets,…or I stack into them while being lifted at waist height so that I don’t have to bend over. I stacked 5 1/2 facecords onto pallets one day. It sucked, because I split my wood small. I quickly realized why I use totes to store and handle my firewood.

@amandadavis9726 I always split into tempts myself. Most people who use the splitters have a conveyor.

@@RockhillfarmYT yep, I’ve noticed that. It only makes sense to have one of some sort. That constant bending is not conducive for someone who is 6’6” tall, 🤣. I’m always trying to find ways to avoid it,…even if it adds time to the process.
