@@darrendsouza6977 Great question buddy! Trends are indeed one form of viral videos. What you need for that is a way to follow what is going on in your niche. And this way be one of the first to know about all the big things coming up. In science for example we had this big interest in the new breakthroughs related to graphene. Like the next leap in graphene-based battery technology. In order to be in the loop for those news, follow important people on Twitter, subscribe to blogs from experts, frequent insider forums, all that. Combine this knowledge with this perspective to produce your videos: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3rEcn1qn92Vmdk

I actually have the same strategy. I had my first viral video in July, last year, and I realised that I have to do something to make the new subscribers return, so I started to publish at a higher rate, two videos in a week, it was a huge efort for me but I managed to keep a higher level than before the viral. Since then I had a few more virals, every time I managed to keep the views level higher after the viral than before. In July last year, I had 4000 subscribers, in December, I reached 10 k, now I have 25.9 k, after Christmas I couldn t keep a high rate of publishing, now I publish a video in a week and I focus on quality rather than on quantity.

Wow, that is so great to hear Casuta! Do I understand you right that you published many follow-up videos like my friend did at least once as well? Videos about the same type of dish I assume, right? And that alone allowed you to raise the baseline as Derral Eves likes to call it? Kudos!

I'm not sure if this was mentioned already, but if you have a website or other external source, a good way to encourage binge viewing is to link from your property to your KZbin videos playlist URL.

Thanks to Nico and Daniel, I implemented their suggestions prior to my viral video last month. Prior to the video, my channel was getting 3k views per day (90k views a month). In the last two weeks it got 600k views, but not from one video but from a whole channel. In fact during that time 4 older videos triggered the algorithm and outproduced the viral video that started it. And two weeks later we are still getting over 40k views a day. I realize we will eventually slow down, but maybe will will have reached a new level.
@Morningfame4 жыл бұрын
Wow Nelson, you even exceed what Daniel and I expect from this technique! Sounds like a chain reaction in which your 4 older videos were pushed over the edge by the viral video and started to have their own algorithm-driven success. 😃👌 I just had a closer look and can only stress how important preparation is. As you say, you followed the advice here and also really benefit from having a channel that is clearly aligned for a particular audience.
