@@TalkingMoneyWithNozi thank you for your prompt response. My question was around withdrawal of the profit portion and not the invested amount, e.g. if the price goes up and the profit is R500, withdraw the R500 and reinvest it to the same ETFs. Important to note that I will not withdraw my invested funds, I will only withdraw and reinvest the profit to increase the invested principal. Is this advisable?

Shuu Nozi,I started watching your videos yesterday. Watched more than 5 by now and I am happy. I a going to apply few advices of investing I learned. Hi Nozi, Thank you for your educational podcast. Please advise if it is advisable to sell profit shares from ETFs within my TFSA as the market share goes up and reinvest the funds back into TFSA. If yes, how often can I sell? I have: Satrix top 40, Satrix capped all share, Invest Global REIT & SAP 500. I will re-invest my profits in the same portfolio or in my USD EE account.

@@nomsamohlamme1217 if you sell any of your ETFs, it doesn't make sense to buy the same ETFs again. This is because if your ETFs go up, it means the prices have increased and are now more expensive. For example you bought S&P500 at R70 per unit and the unit price increases to R100 and your portfolio is green because youve made a profit. If you sell, and buy back the same thing, you are buying at a higher price . It would only make sense to sell and buy DIFFERENT ETFs that have lost value and the prices have gone down. Otherwise just leave your investments alone.

@@nomsamohlamme1217as said, leave that portfolio alone, selling will shrink your number of shares held. There’s long way to go.keep buying until your portfolio gives you good dividends to chaw for free

@@nomsamohlamme1217 why would you withdraw the profit just to buy the same stock or ETF? You would just be paying transaction fees twice for nothing. The amount is already profit... so leave it there and let it grow.

@@lilyhattingh thank you for your response, I think I should educate myself more about ETFs in regards to the growth of my investments. I do receive dividends however, I'm not sure if I'm earning interest at all, this is why I thought withdrawing profits and re-investing it each time the market price goes up would be a solution.
