Tiktok has a certain resolution cap based on devices with h.264 decoders or vp9 decoders. Of course vp9 decoding for TikTok (if they have that support,) will have a cap of 1080p but for h.264, will only have a 540p cap (h.264 baseline) both are at 60Hz (frames/seconds)

Your quality shows up bad for everyone as soon as you post it. The reason it looks fine on your account only is because of your cache. As soon as you clear the cache or reinstall the app, you will see how bad tiktok did your video💔 Although I am still trying to find a way around this.

Uploading a 200mb video to TikTok will just make TikTok force compress the video due to its insanely high file size. Also, uploading from pc doesn’t make the edit quality higher, instead it will do the exact opposite. Since there’s no desktop version of TikTok it’s a web version you have to upload from and it’s pretty obvious that the web version won’t be able to upload a file as good as an app version on a phone for example. TikTok was designed for handheld devices and therefore it will work a lot better in terms of uploading on a phone than a web version.

nope upload vid on pc on private for 5mins then unprivate it on your phone. This method stopped my edits losing quality. Also good internet connection helps a ton. Vid will be blurry at the start then after a couple hours it’ll go to its original quality.

I use 4k scps make ccs export the vid put it on topaz than handbrake (all what you said)but still have bad quality , And I'm so confused some people say you have to render at 4k and other at 1080 cause tt doesn't support 4k files and sole says it's about the size of your edit I honestly think that having good quality on tt appears to be real just for the biggest editors😪

the only comment im going to leave is how cracked up the bit rate, and the file size went to the moon, it was 102 it became 200, bit rate should not be at max in fact it should be less than half like 18 or somthing, the way i understand it is the larger the file the more comprestion, while bit rate doesnt affect the quality that much it sure does affect it size
