Speaking slowly makes perfect sense to me because when I was younger, my mom was either ADD or rude. She would never let me finish what I was saying before she started to talk over me. Now, to this day, I still find myself rushing to get my words out at times, afraid that if I take too long someone might stop listening. Or, maybe even feeling that I am boring someone. We aren't children. Who wants to be naive and receptive like a child. Children move forward into adulthood, expanding and increasing in self empowerment, they don't move backward into adulthood. You can be open hearted as a calm mature perceptive adult, but receptive is the result of agreeing with the energies being exchanged.

Friends of mine and my mum even read it and commented on how clever a statement it is. Thanks Marissa! insomniaaaAa There have been studies done into the effect of a smile (genuine or manufactured, it didn't seem to make a significant difference) and the very act of smiling was found to improve the happiness scores of the study population. Unfortunately, I don't know how reliable the study methods were but shows you're not far off the mark - besides, I think it takes fewer muscles to smile than it does to frown. Keep it up! 😀

I’ve always been a “toucher”- while listening, waitressing, my insurance clients now- it’s just my way and I feel people respond to it in a sincere way. I truly care about others and want to serve them- that gives me the confidence to make it always about them and never about me. People can FEEL that when they are with you and that will bring confidence to the situation because you aren’t thinking what’s in it for me...

What I tell my 14yo son is to not allow anyone to bully him and to ignore them if they try to pick on him cause all they want is a reaction if you dont react they will usually stop. However he does know if he is physically attacked to fight back even if you lose they will respect you for fighting back and usually leave you alone after that. Hope that is helpful.
@anthonykaps91745 жыл бұрын
Honestly, what I realized the only way to overcome bullying and make it permanent is by learning how to release what inside you causes you to get hurt by these bullies. All the insults, all the things that hurts you emotionally is because subconsciously you agree with what's being said by addressing the part of you who believes and release trauma you become free and start stepping up. I help people who struggle with social confrontations and social interactions through extensive amount of experience. If you're interested to know more about being a social person and getting immune to bullying send me an email : Anthonykap123@gmail.com or @theboringkaps

@@vapeking466 My father used to say that to his little grandson too. He was five when he went to pick him up from school and couldn't find him. When he searched the grounds, he found him on top of 2 boys and beating them up. My dad was a tall man and when he wanted to instill the fear in anyone he just needed to stare down at them and put on a frightening face. After, he'd seen enough, he called his grandchild and the 3 of them hurriedly stood up! Dad didn't say a word and the bullies never bothered Albert again! He told us later that he'd had enough and since his grandpa told him he had to give them a few chances before "using his fists", he decided that ignoring them had failed.

Be fake is what she’s saying. Act as if you’re interested, then people realise you don’t care they’ll think you disingenuous. Being known as a liar loses people trust. Great advice Marisa. How about spend time with people that share your interests and don’t waste your time(or there’s). Genuine confident people respect themselves and don’t have to lie to get people to like because they don’t fear others opinions. Question is what is fear though? Confident people are fearless, not to be confused with aggressive or manipulation like Marisa in inferring with this video.

Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!! Just what I needed! I remember myself being like that - chin up, shoulders down, calm... As if confidence was radiating from every my pore. That was when I was growing up. Somewhere along the way I lost it, and I am aware of my posture very often, but I didn'n what to do about it. When I was confident that confident posture came naturaly for me, it looked as some sort of aristocrat looking from above ;) . I saw people didn' t liked it... they would look at me strange as "who do I think you are". Than I deliberatedly hid it. Big mistake. I let others control me.👎 And once depression came, my posture was bended... like Quasimodo little bit. It still is I am affraid. But I didn't know I can regain my confident posture (confidence) with this practice. Thank you soooo much!! xxxxxx I am looking forward to practice it... perhaps my body will remember, perhaps some neuropath will remember my natural posture I lost long time ago. And thank you for posting this short reminders every week, I can not express joy and help you provide me with this. Thank you for including same sex people in videos. A huuuuuge hug 🙌🌼🙋.
