@Porzak Golf Geesh dude. Why couldn't I have had you as a teacher 20 years ago! :/ Watching Rickie win the Rocket and how you teach golf makes me wanna just play every day. I just wish it wasn't so darn expensive. Living in a city is NOT really the place to be that helps getting good at golf. hehe

Do you grip the club a bit differently for chipping? Seems like you have a pretty strong left hand grip...couldn't tell if you do that on normal shots too or not
@Gulikk87 Жыл бұрын
normal strong grip for all shots

Lost my game with pitching and chipping .I like you and padraig trevino for the work put in.Setup more important then tempo in your opinion. Im 6 3 220 and i need the feeling of turning through the ball to bottom out consistently

So listen,……I’m a 3 handicap and can play a decent round of golf. I always thought I had a good short game. Heck, my license plate says Parsavr!! But this tip about shipping ( low and high) has been a game changer. I even played a few rounds do it to make sure it was the real deal and it was. I just had 7 out of 8 par saves because of it. ( I know, hit more greens) lol thank you thank you thank you. I’m now thinking about flying out and taking some lessons with you. Because all of your content is great but this was soooo easy

Practiced this today at the range in the chipping area and it worked greatly. Just need to work on distance control with the high chip and the low chip. Greens to practice on are very fast so everything ran out off of the practice green. Couldn't try in the deep rough since they just mowed everything down.

Great video on chipping. Can’t wait to get stuck in high grass and try what you taught your student.

If I use a 56° wedge on a low chip shot, should I also use it on high chips shots or switch to a 60°? Thank you for all the videos, tips and useful information.

For the short grass are you swinging on a pendilum like putting motion and do you hold the club from the top or halfway down. As for the high shot in short grass are you still swinging on a U shape or putting motion. With the tall grass you hold the club low like in the sand and it a V shape with your hands going through, correct.

Your left hand grip is quite strong for chipping. Wouldn't it be advantageous to weaken the left hand to reduce over rotation? I appreciate your input and feedback.
@PorzakGolf Жыл бұрын
Same as full swing with lead hand, weaker trail hand! Always want the back of that lead hand matching the club face. The weaker trail hands prevents face rotation. It promotes keeping the loft that you start with in the setup!

The last tip where you open the club way way right, it something high skilled golfers can do. There is minimal size of the club face as you cut it across, with the face so open. So yes - it can be done. But normal handicap 10-20 players it will be a high high risk shot
@mntlblok Жыл бұрын
Don't think he's cutting across. He shows on another video how the ball simply slides "on a diagonal" up the club-face when it is opened like that and swings down the line. *Extremely* counterintuitive, but everything that he does follows the laws of physics. :-)

Do you do a hip bump for this setup as well ?
@PorzakGolf Жыл бұрын
Yes! With this hip bump, the upper body moves with with it, getting the majority of the weight on the lead leg, promoting a better angle of attack
@mntlblok Жыл бұрын
@@PorzakGolf Is this the hip bump that is "pre-set" - as part of the setup? *Really* like (and need) that 90-*100* percent of the weight on the left.

Which club 52, 56, 58, 60???
@PorzakGolf Жыл бұрын
All of these for the bump n run…highest lofted club (60) for the high/soft shot!

Looks like right hand is more in palm and a little weaker on your chips.
