It really depends on your situation. If you can get out of the sxt free and clear, and really want the scat and it makes sense financially for you, go for it. But if you have to roll in money from the sxt, thus making the scat payment even higher, I would say just keep the sxt. You could always just stack up and get the new body style scat in 2024

They will want more than that down. But the biggest problem you will run into is the interest rate. You really want to get your credit better first because the interest will kill you

Things take time. First car I bought and financed was my 2008 Honda civic si, I was 20 with decent credit and had nothing to put down but got approved. After that I got a 2019 Subaru wrx Sti and now I’m in a 2021 ram bighorn. Was a matter of time and steady on time payments/length of credit. Chrysler Capital (Santander) finances almost anyone. All you gotta do is pull a decent 620+, with a paid comp auto. Chrysler Capital will no stip you. The problem is when the dealer tries to get you to pay $10k markup, your loan to value is out of wack and would trigger proof of income and/or turndown. Find a dealer that will sell it for MSRP or close and your down payment requirement will only be $1,000 down or less. If Chrysler Capital or Santander turn you down, your credit bad bad.

I got my 15 Charger RT for $26-$27k 1 owner 29k miles and all maintenance done at the same dealership it was bought from. I had 7 months job time and traded my dart and put $2,500 down with it for a total down payment just about $5k and had a 660 credit score and got approved through Wells Fargo at 9.89%(which is about where I expected to be based on my research). I think and made $4,500/month roughly at the time. I'm looking to get a RAM classic in the next year or so with low miles hopefully so long as prices won't be too insane, can't build them the way I want anymore on Dodge site, or at all right now lol. That way I can keep the miles off my Charger and build it up. I'm going for a supercharged build. Someday maybe I'll have a scat or hellcat Challenger, but I do sorta prefer the pre 15 Challenger taillights for the historical look, but I guess these will eventually be the historical look in about 30-50 years, so it's whatever lol.

It is too late to buy car like that - right now, it is shot in your own knee ... forecasts for gas prices in 2022 is around 5$ per galon... and with democrats ruling this country and trying to save world with money from your pocket, expect rising gas prices and insurance rates for all gas powered vehicles and especially performance cars .... so think twice if you ready to keep paying off your scat pack for 7 years when it will be keep loosing value because of Bidens push for EVs and instead of making EVs more affordable they gonna try to acoplish that, by making your life harder, because that is what politicans does (no matter the side). Right now your best bet might be to just hold off. The dealerships are charging over sticker price for widebodys, and the used prices are out of control! You are definitely in a great position to buy, I would just wait a bit!

I went to 5 dealers, went with ordering at sticker. No point in paying no markup bullshit. One dealer wanted 10k for Redeyes and another dealer wanted 20k (and that's with pre-ordering🤣🤣🤣). I want a scatpack . My credit is 714 and Im trading in a 2020 accord with low miles i own. I have a job and make enough but the dealership wants to low ball me on my trade, charge me a 3 at mark up and 0% APR at $560 a month at one then charge me 5k mark up 0% APR $480 a month on a strippy scatpack. I can pick up one today in frostbite with leather interior and the plus package with automatic ... That being said I think they can do better on the monthly or stop trying to retire off my dream . Even with 0% APR they're still ripping me off on my car and giving me a mark up because of chips on the tail end. So it's no apr but still extra charges . With apr it'll be worse. That's why im probably keeing my car

I’m in the business and the bank rarely ask for income to be verified unless the buyer has poor subpar credit. Anything over 690, income verification is never asked.

You're actually in a great position to get a SCAT pack by that time. Assuming you have a good payment history on paying your RT, than you're really in a good place. If you have other collections on your credit work on getting that removed and then add a couple tradelines to your credit to get that boost. TRADELINES would work in your favor because you already have primary credit with your car. FOCUS ON PAYING YOUR CHARGER RT OFF instead of coming up with $10k down for the Scat... Double up on your payments on your RT and eat away at that $7k that you owe... By June your CHARGER RT will be paid off and when you go to the dealer for the SCAT PACK... not only are you bringing your car as a trade-in which will go towards your "down payment"... But to the bank they would really be more willing to give you the SCAT because you have a paid off car.
