My most recent plant purchases have been rescue plants,four of them.I feel bad for plants that look dried out and neglected.Rescuing plants means that for a while they won't look so good,but it makes me happy when they spring back to life and regain their health.

Yes! As a new plant parent, I’ve been instinctively doing this and I love the results! It’s so great being validated by an expert plant parent! Lol thanks so much for sharing!! ❤

So far I've got all my deliciosa air roots in the soil and when i repoted it was really crazy how they're identical to the other roots below the soil! My 7th leaf has double fenestrations and i doubt it would if it didn't have so many root sources!

Yep! I know some people don’t like to look at aerial roots, but it’s totally worth it to put as many as you can in the soil. Glad to hear your Monstera is doing so well! ☺️💚

@@leafydiva I don't like them getting all saggy haha but So I aim them as straight down as I can and I've even used skewers to hold them until they reach! It would bug me way more to have them all over my house like I see some ppl do (totally fine but they look like a bunch of wires!) I have vibes of different sizes in a big pot it's ten inches by about 13 inches and I did it when they were all small BC I trusted my watering ability and the air roots to take up all the space!

Love your videos! I wish to be a plant pro like you some day :) I have one question, hope you can help me out with it- I want to know how to make good soil mixture for my house plants. All of the soils that are for sale in the plant houses near me only sell one brand of universal soil that should also be proper for outdoor plants. After seeing your video I realized I need to mix up my own soil mixture, and for that I need to order the materials separately online. Hope you can explain a bit about the necessary ingredients. I'm not from US so I can't rely on specific brands.Thank you very much!

Would you ever recommend growing a Thai as a climber? I'm undecided about mine as I'm not sure about 'where to next' once it reaches the end of the long planter I have lying around. Excellent tip though about the aerial roots. In fact I just did that with my Monstera Albo repot 👌🏼 And yes a good video idea from @donnettadaniels7926 about tips for autumn and winter ( for when that time comes around for me next March)! 👏🏼👊🏼

So instead of planting the stem down into the substrate you plant horizontally to help promote root growth?
@leafydiva
@leafydiva Жыл бұрын
I don't mind a little of the stem being below the soil, but they're a lot less likely to rot if they're on top of it.
