Do This To Keep The Water Hot - Suburban Water Heater Switch Replacement, SW6DE, Wildwood 31KQBTS

My Suburban SW6DE Water Heater stopped working on electric on a recent camping trip. We replaced to 11 dollar switch to get things working properly again.

The Trailer is a 2018 Forest River Wildwood 31KQBTS

Thanks for your video. I had to replace the element as well, so I was able to get a bit of room to work. The biggest win was keeping the "war dept" happy as she now has hot water........😉

Mine has a blue flag connector and a white connector (not flag shaped) It doesn't matter which prong goes to which wire? Thanks! It popped off before I could note what goes where.

If it is just a switch with no LED on it and only 2 terminals then it should not matter which goes where.

I fished wire to inside trailer on wall of bedroom,now it stays dry and can turn it on off without goin outside

Which is exactly what Suburban should have done and offered as part of the redesign post electric element upgrade..... I wonder what kind of dumbass engineer thought this switch location and wiring was a good idea....!!!! They could of at least housed the switch in a recessed plastic housing to make it easier to access.

Is it common for a 2018 Suburban water heater switch to go bad within three years? If you aren't as handy as you, what would that repair cost? Thanks for the video, you make everything seem easy.

Common? Not sure. It has only gone bad on me once. LOL. Actually I do not think it is over common. I took the switch apart and the failure was in the plastic components and not the electrical contacts. Thanks for the comment.
