Can you tell me what the specs or what the part number is for the shock? I'm trying to engineer it such that it pulls instead.

Mine has a blue flag connector and a white connector (not flag shaped) It doesn't matter which prong goes to which wire? Thanks! It popped off before I could note what goes where.

If it is just a switch with no LED on it and only 2 terminals then it should not matter which goes where.

Well got the carb fixed up. starter was sticking . Took off starter .cleaned and put back together . Now i have no power to starter . Took it apart again to make sure brushes we're right. Still nothing. i tryed going to starter directly from battery with jumper cables. Can't get it to do anything... I'm a failure lol.

This is now 3years old and looking at this machine ,just like the car of the rod era the machines were more robust and better built! Possibly because they were made in America! Simpler to work on and modify! Less intrusive complications!

Thanks ! Great Video ! I just picked one up thats been sitting in garage for 3 years. hoping to get it going. Starter is doing the same thing as yours. Also gas is pouring out of carb ? Havn't got much further than that yet. I'm no mechanic but going to try.....

Was wondering is the regular quacker oil good for a 5.7 because i did a oil change last year and then got a ticking noise and misfiring on cylinder 8 its been down for forever trying to get the money up to fix still but im thinking the oil i used wasn't full synthetic.

As long as the oil meets the specs from Ram then you are fine, brand doesn't matter.

Doesn’t matter how much you change Fram oil filters the problem is they have a tendency to clog up and when that happens and you don’t know it you can fry your motor do your research
@patricklandis39103 ай бұрын
For 1. Quit using Fram oil filters. They are the worst oil filters you can ever use. 2. Buy yourself an oil filter relocation kit it’s worth every penny..

This unit was relatively new and worked under load with the choke on, if I recall correctly. It just needed a good carb cleaning to function properly without the choke on.

Toyota has a drain plug housing for the oil change Works well , just connected one of those small clear hoses to the plug all the way down to the used oil conditioner, there’s gotta be a third-party design housing with a filter for easy drainage!

I'm getting too old to shovel so I went old school and bought a 24" Ariens 10M4 from 1966 and that thing is a monster, lol. Once it's in gear and I let out on the clutch I don't even have to follow along until it needs to be turned around, it'll just eat the snow and pull itself along. Originally, where yours separates, it was meant to do that for different attachments. The back half was the "tractor" and the front half could be a snowblower attachment, a cultivator, a mower, etc. Mine still has its old Tecumseh engine and it still fires up but at 58 years old it's starting to get tired (But heck, I'm 55 and I'm getting tired too, lol). Been thinking about putting on a Predator 212.

If you are going to make self help vids, then you should list data - such as drain plug size, torque spec, filter model number, oil type, etc. Too many people making vids that can't think of common sense items.
@5beesgarage8 ай бұрын
Thank you for the comment. Is it the creator doesn't have common sense or is it the consumer that is lacking? I make videos of what i am doing, not necessarily a how to. I am a creator not a teacher.

what if you turn off the fuel cap vent, will it run the fuel bulb dry?
@5beesgarage9 ай бұрын
No, the fuel bowl will not run dry. The fuel tank will simply develop a vacuum and the engine will stop from the lack of flow, not emptying the bowl as air flows into the bowl.

I bought a 1990’s Craftsman 2 with the 18.5 hp kholer magnum engine. All it needed was gas. Charged the battery and put some air in the tires. Used it to pull my other broken mower to the curb. It just pulled it like it was nothing. I was shocked at the torque it has. Got a lot more to do. Change the oil, clean it up and give it a new paint job. Going to turn it into an off-road garden tractor.
